It is a very nice looking, solid piece of furniture. It is all wood and has a dark finish, but not so dark that you cant see the grain of the wood. Once assembled it is quite sturdy and comfortable when paired with a good firm (or at least thick) mattress.
But assembly was anything but simple. You have to have a large are to spread everything out, you need at least one extra pair of hands to hold the pieces together when putting the arms and back together and attaching the sides to the back. No way can one person do it alone.
But Im still giving it 5 stars because once assembled, it is an excellent value and well with the effort.
Easy to assemble (did it myself while husband was at work, with three kids running around the house). Took me about an hour to get it all put together and moved upstairs where I wanted it. It has a solid feel, and has a nice look to it. Definitely not a cheapy look.
