Affordable high quality bed, durable construction, great storage feature perfect for my 4 year old princess, she loves it Easy for her to climb up/ down and perfect bed height, not too tall. works great in our tiny apt to give her more space storage.
This definitely going to hold up to the wear and tear my nephew is going to put it through. Putting it together was very time consuming so set your Saturday aside for this one. All the pieces were there and the instructions were fairly clear.
HOLY BAGILLION PIECES BUT AWESOME BED
First off I want to say that this is a great bed. Thats said / here are the particulars:
When this Junior Loft with Storage Steps arrived I had to get my teen daughter to help me get it in the house. (Im a small woman, but I can usually move heavy things around without too much trouble) This box was HEAVY / And Long. So. fi youre not a heavy lifter be sure to have a help of some sort with moving this box.
After getting it into the room in which it would be set up, I opened the box to find a never ending flow of pieces to pull out. There are seriously a bagillion piecesI added some pictures, but I didnt even get all the parts/pieces in the pictures. AND there are a TON of different types of hardware. It comes with a hex key but its definitely necessary to have a couple of screwdrivers as well (flathead and Phillips) Now, I am pretty handy at assembling things and I usually dont ask for help from my husband unless I really need a second hand to hold things together. So, I started putting this bed together around noon (after taking ten minutes at least just to get all of the pieces pulled out of the box and somewhat organized). First off I have to say that there is a learning curve to assembling this bed. In order to put some parts together, you have to go back and loosen some other parts that have already been assembled / and there are pieces that dont go together completely smoothly and need a little persuading (not that Ive ever assembled anything that didnt have parts like this). So, I worked almost non/stop until about 3:20 and still had plenty left to finish. By that point though I was seeing this as a challenge, so I was kind of excited to get my kids picked up from school and get back to finish the job. But by the time I got home, my husband was home and ready to help, though accepting help was hard to do considering the fact that I felt like I had already accomplished so much on my own and really wanted to take the whole credit for such a tremendous feat. Having the second set of hands though was extremely helpful and we finished the job in about 25/30 minutes. Standing back to look at our (MY) accomplishment, we were very happy with it. It is super cute, and very sturdy. I dont have any worries that it will teeter, break, or fall apart underneath my daughter.
In the end, this bed is EXACTLY what I was expecting and hoping for and my five year old daughter LOVES it!
I love this bed. I am an adult. 54, 135 pounds and I have a small bedroom. I needed space for a dog crate as I am fostering a medium/sized dog and this is perfect. I left the front rail off and I just jump right in the mattress slides away from the back every so often but I just push it back and its not a big problem at all. Its sturdy and quiet. This bed is great for people with limited space
Great bed for my 2.5 year old. He loves sleeping up high. We put a sheet of wood over the rungs where the mattress would go and for now are just using his crib mattress so there is less chance of him falling. Took about 2 hours to put together but all the pieces were marked and the hardware was neatly organized. Very happy with this purchase.
The metal frame is good, the stairs are solid but kinda crappy. They are not painted, but covered with some cheap vinyl that started chipping and peeling as I assembled it. The bolt holes were not lined up properly, and the locking bolts were obviously subpar and dont all lock properly. I wound up leaving the door off the little cubby because the hinges fit awkwardly. Ive assembled plenty of cheap particle board furniture and the steps for this bed were easily the most frustrating of all time. It does free up a lot of space in a small room and my kid loves it, all in all Id give it a B/
