For the price I paid I thought it was going to be real wood but it wasnt. Cheaply made and I kicked myself in the butt for purchasing it. cant praise it enough!
I have learned through the purchase of other furniture pieces that require assembly it is best to familiarize yourself with pieces and a general idea of construction before diving in. It took me about 4 hours with lots of breaks as I am not young and a stitch in time saves nine. Everything went together very well. Easy to understand instructions. All was straight and true when finished. Very well packaged for safe shipping, arrived without a scratch. still feels plenty sturdy
