We bought this bed for my almost 3 year old daughter to transition out of her crib. Im so glad we got this one because shell be able to use it for years to come. I love that its close to the ground without having the mattress directly on the floor. It only took my husband and I about an hour and a half to put it together. Directions were clear. No chemical smell which was something I was concerned about due to reading reviews on other house beds. If youre thinking about getting this bed do it. The price is great and very good quality so far. Everything is nice!
This product is incredibly poorly made. After unboxing all of pieces and started assembly, multiple screw holes were not pre/drilled properly. The receiving board holes were pre/drilled too big or not deep enough which did not allow for proper construction. The top and sides were loose even after full assembly.
Multiple slats had splits at the ends, not allowing me to properly attach them to the bed frame.
On top of all of that, the instruction manual was incredibly difficult to discern and pictures contradicted each other making assembly a nightmare.
Do yourself a favor and just order something from IKEA for the price. compare to the price
Alright , let me start by saying this was a pain in the butt. The only thing clear on assembly was the letters on the wood, and the hardware numbered. If you are shorter than 55 might want some help holding the top boards while you screw/in the bolts. That said, I did manage to get it put together.
Not sure why the the top boards didnt come with dowels since there are holes for them but only 16 dowels provided. It would make it more sturdy for sure. Wood is pretty crappy and one bolt/screw split the board, so I put that board at the tippie top. Definitely not for your kids to climb on. After you, read the directions and then re read them its not too bad to put together. They are worse than ikea. Took me about 2 1/2 hours.
Next , the mattress frame boards do not come with pre hole marks for placement on the frame. Dumb. It says 300 mm apart at this one section. I suggest looking at the pictures of the product and scrolling down till you see the mattress frame. Then line up your boards like theirs and forget the directions.
Find yourself a different Allen wrench. The one they provide either has to be the dumbest thing or mine came broken. Im giving it a 3 because it was such a pain but it does look pretty darn cute and its low to the ground. Definitely a good starter bed for toddlers. However I still wouldnt recommend you try buying it
So i always liked these beds for toddlers so i was excited to receive it. When i screwed in one of the screws a piece of wood came out the other end and i contacted the seller and sent me it immediately! I honestly was so shocked i didnt have to go back and forth but we are obsessed!! Ive been taking naps with my baby in this bed thats how much i love it very sturdy and stylish
It honestly ended up looking like it was just pieces of wood randomly thrown together to attempt to make something like a bed. Not sturdy either honestly a waste of money. Looks nice in the picture but in person not so much. So disappointed!
Easy to assemble once u get passed the initial 1st step or 2 and we love it for my 4 year old who autistic and easily falls off the bed so this is great since its so low to the ground. The only downside is getting passed the smell of the paint/wood. Letting it air out through the night in hopes it will help also been wiping it down with a mix of some fabuloso all purpose cleaner and a dash of water with rag. Will update on the smell.
UPDATE: Plugged in a ferbreze wall plug and closed her door and the smell is completely gone we live this bed!! It is sturdy and looks beautiful
