I didnt know I was buying a disassembled door, but that wasnt the hardest part. Putting it up was worse. And it was missing parts but I had put it together already so I couldnt return it
Some parts were warped. After assembly the entire door warped so bad it was unusable. This was a total ripoff. I bought two other doors from Lowes that are much better product for less money. To be fair, this is unfinished spruce pine and I put it together and painted in my garage and then when moved into the home it warped really bad as the heat in the house was lower humidity. Some parts arrived warped but went together fine after I straightened them by putting weight on them on a flat surface. I recommend getting a MDF version so humidity doesnt come in to play.
Instructions are not nearly complete. Had to YT a bunch of other door installations to figure it out. Also, parts not well labeled. Easy fixes but disappointing for certain.
Easy to assemble. Had to build a backer board for the railing because the holes did not match up with studs. That took a few hours. When we finally hung the door we realized how twisted and warped it is. Thrre is about a 2 in gap. I am beyond disappointed and upset. I really dont want to deal with disassembling it and sending it back Id rather just throw it away. Hoping the seller would provide a solution. I wish we spent a bit more to get an engineered door from Home Depot. For 250 this seller is disrespectful of our time and labor. They should have better quality control otherwise they should not be selling this crap.
Hardware delivered with the product is very high quality. Unlike other posters, ours contained a handle and a wall/baseboard mount door track guide AND a floor guide.
Wood pieces fit well; however, the longer pieces were slightly warped and the bottom of one had an obvious (poorly done) patch filled with wood filler.
You WILL have to sand this piece prior to staining or painting. Its fairly rough.
All that said, once its put together, its exactly what we need for our tight space.
I read a lot of reviews about the difficulties people had assembling this door. Besides not being labeled very well, this was a smooth and fairly easy assembly/install. It does help to have a second set of hands during the assembly tho. Great product and was exactly what I was looking for.
Pretty simple to assemble. After assembling we lightly sanded and then stained and sealed. The holes didnt line up with studs in wall so we bought wood backing for wall and attached rail to that. Turned out beautiful and slides over the safe and wall switch.
We were missing the bar and two spacers which attach to the wall, we messaged the manufacturer through . They sent the bar and two of the wrong size spacers, we are still trying to get the correct parts.

Great Hardware // Okay Wood!

Easy and looks beautiful
Very easy to put together! Definitely a two person project, but went together and put up in about an hour. Looks great and works beautifully.

I Love the barn door
