Bed was easy to set up, and my 5yr old absolutely loves the play area underneath. I strung some Christmas lights under the bed so it is illumitated. Went together easily
Bought for my 6 year old son. He absolutely loves it. His older siblings love it. The neighbor kids love it. Its high quality for the price. Fun and still practical. The packaging is a challenge and assembly takes time. must have at least 2 people. Still very happy! It looks nice
This bed would get a 5 star review from if not for the AWFUL heavy chemical odor that has not dissipated after almost 3 weeks! I have left my sons bedroom window open every good weather chance I get and the chemical smell still hits me every time I open his bedroom door. I am disappointed because I spent so much time researching a quality, non toxic mattress for him, but I never thought about the actual bed materials.
The positives are consistent with most other reviews. Easy assembly, cute, my son loves it, but I am shocked that Im the first reviewer to mention the odor. Even if you dont worry about chemical toxicity, off gassing, and such, it is a truly offensive odor! not satisfied with product
If I could go back, I would not purchase this bed. Im sure they may accept returns but seriously, Im not disassembling and returning an 80 lb bed. Unfortunately I had someone assemble it(they claimed it was very easy), so I wasnt aware of the odor beforehand. I wish I had several more months to set this bed unused in a garage or somewhere for the odor to wear off. Perhaps then this bed would be 5 star worthy.
Love LOVE this bed! Super easy to put together. My 4yo son helped me and it still only took an hour. Its definitely more solid than I thought. Love the finish. Like others said you can smell the stain still but that isnt unusual. The package came all busted. I almost refused the package as I saw broken wood. I felt bad for my UPS driver trekking across my long icy driveway in the dark with such an enormous, heavy package so I didnt refuse it. Luckily it was just packing material. They had it packed so well it was scrap wood over styrofoam. Not a scratch on the bed despite the box being trashed. Also the 4 posts ARE numbered on the bottom. A reviewer said they werent. It was faint but there for sure. Very happy with Donco. I ordered another brand bed from Wayfair the same day and it was definitely not as sturdy. Modern, comfortable and great value

Wife ordered it for my son due to his bed being broke from a military change of station move. I was deployed at the time and she was able to put it together with ease and my son loves his new bed. This product was just what I needed
I put this sucker together alone with no help in about an hour. Easy to assemble and sturdy. I weigh 125 lb and I have laid in it with my 52 lb 6 yr old. Nothing cracked, broke, or collapsed. I call that a win. I love the color and he loves his hideout underneath. I honestly love
