Okay so this coffee table is my absolute favorite piece of furniture in my new apartment. Its also a perfect dupe for the more expensive $200 table from wayfair and I highly recommend this one over Wayfairs.
So now for assembly. A few other reviews mentioned that the lift top part of the table was not very sturdy and I figured out why some people have that issue.
During assembly there is a part in the instructions where you have to disassemble the hydraulic lifting mechanism and then rescrew on the nut after the piece is attached to the table. When you are doing this part, you need to make sure that you tighten BOTH NUTS. You are only actually directed to unscrew one side of the hydraulic mechanism, but the other nut on the side that you are not instructed to mess with is not completely tightened when it comes from the manufacturer.
I included a picture so you can see exactly which part you need to tighten.
This is where people run into problems with the sturdiness and wobbliness of the lift top part.
So pay close attention to all parts of the assembly. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble by myself.
The top wood grain piece is also cut from one singular piece of wood, so you have to make sure the grain lines up the right way to ensure perfect fit.
SO again, make sure that you tighten BOTH nuts on BOTH sides of the hydraulic mechanism and you will have an absolutely gorgeous and incredibly sturdy coffee table.
BUY IT!!!
When unscrewing the thing that makes the table lift, be sure to tight both parts. Youll know what I mean if you buy it. The book wont tell you to tight the lift thingy on both screws. But if you do, it will be sturdy.
I somehow attached the lifts backwards and had to literally start at square one. Once assembled it looks and performs like a coffee table should.
As others have pointed out, the felt pads for the legs are atrocious. 1 pad fell off the very first day and the other 3 came off the first time I moved the table.
Color was darker than shown. I order rustic oak and it came dark brown with less wood texture. Nothing damaged. Otherwise, easy to assemble. Take your time to make sure everything fits squarely before tightening. (I had to make my own hole on 2 screws to keep the top straight)
We really like the size because it fits in our apartment well And works with other furniture without taking over the room and still allowed to work space with the pop up top

I love it
It looks great in our living room, super sturdy and easy to put together.
Smaller than expected
Pictures in the listing show this table being larger than it is. The lift part does not even come up over my knees
Easy to assemble. Read the other reviews.

The reviews don’t lie

Looks good, storage is perfect, lift too works well.
Perfect for my apartment to add storage and functional surface area. Easy to assemble, sturdy, and the hinges have been durable thus far!
Great Table, Beware of Color

Great table! But permanent marker on table top
Great coffee table/lazy desk/tv dinner table!!! Just wish someone didn’t use permanent marker when they labeled it “1079”!
