Box is very VERY heavy. Need 2 people to move the box. Was very easy to put together with just 2 person. It took me a little less than an HR to do myself. Great twin bed. Only thing I dont like about it is some of the pieces under the bed fall off because the screws arent long enough for the piece and the drawers get stuck. Front drawer piece falls off once in a while. Need to make these a little better
I was excited when the first of four packages for my Bali Storage Platform Bed arrived (the other three came a day later). Assembly started that Saturday afternoon, and continued into Sunday. It took two people, reasonably skilled and with two cordless drivers, about 5 hours to assemble. Add at least 2 hours if you do all the screws by hand.
The wood is solid, and the boxes are well-planned for assembly, but this is a complex piece of furniture. I will say the directions were clear and fairly easy to follow (it did take a little puzzling for the drawer slides, but once we had one, all the rest were easy). There were extras of all of the primary screws and bolts, as well as the wooden stabilizing pegs used in places. The wood has a nice smell, and is true to color.
With two adults and a mattress on the bed, it is solid and does not shift in the slightest. The pull-out shelves will not support much more than your cellphone and a glass of water, but really arent made for more anyway. I will say I was disappointed that the drawers were not deeper - there was plenty of space remaining in the center of the frame - space thats unusable once the bed is complete.
This is a solid selection among the options available, and is very eye-catching. I recommend it, just know what you are getting into on the assembly.

Bought the bed for our two granddaughters (3 and 5) when they visit. Bed itself is sturdy and nice looking. My only wish - and it is so minor - is that they had covers for the screws, etc. I mean minor! Girls loved it so a major winner.
Honestly a really good bed. Originally got it so the cats would stop getting under the bed and tearing into the mattress, but I have come to love it for the storage and design. It allowed us to ditch both dressers, now we can just store her stuff one side, my stuff the other. It did take 2 days to assemble (after work 3-4 hours each day). Not as long as some people have spent, really simple. You can use a power tool, but be careful not to tighten with it, just use it to start, then finish with screwdriver. Only real complaint I have is the pull out side tables, they angle slightly down, not sturdy at all (to be fair they dont claim them to handle weight), to far down to really use conveniently and fell apart quickly with any use. But other than that one complaint, awesome bed, really do love it (king size).

Directions are straight forward. Be ready to spend a few hours on it though took me 6 hours. My son loves it though well worth the time and money.
