I dont expect this to hold up for more than a few years. This is definitely not an heirloom quality item.
The storage is laughably weak. The sides and bottom of the 2 trundle drawers are a flimsy plastic film. Dont plan to store anything heavier than cotton balls or youre going to over/stress the drawer.
It sounded like marbles were rolling around inside the upholstered sides as I was assembling this. Im not sure what came apart internally during manufacturing or delivery as everything externally looked ok.
The bed looks ok, and if you recognize this is a budget friendly item you wont be surprised by the overall quality.
Exactly what we needed. Its SO easy to essemble, way better and much sturdier compared to the junk you get from IKEA. We bought the Lucid twin memory foam mattress on and it fit perfectly. The only downside is the drawers. Its a bit hard to slide the drawer back in as the only thing holding it in place is a keyhole to hold the screw if that makes sense. otherwise everything is pretty sturdy Very sturdy.
I have to admit that I was a little nervous when I ordered this bed. Its a lot of money to spend on something sight unseen. I knew it would be delivered in one large box, and I worried that a 103 pound box would be beat to death by the time it arrive at my door. Then I worried about what I was going to do once it got here. Im 4ft, 11in, and I dont weight much more than the box does. The UPS man struggled to get it out of his truck and onto my front porch. I wound up opening it there, and bringing it, piece by piece, into my bedroom. The individual pieces were light weight but they felt really sturdy. Each part was labeled, and the 26 pages of instructions were really easy to follow. I highly recommend using a drill with a low torque setting instead of the included hex wrench to save time. The drawers could have been made sturdier, but I can remake them with wood when the plastic eventually wears out. I am using an Basics 12 memory foam twin mattress on this bed, and can still see plenty of the sides and back. Well I could until I added 9 pillows. Lol Perfect and Sturdy.
Great for my studio apartment. Nice extra storage underneath and with some throw pillows can masquerade as a couch during the day. Easy to get spare parts from the manufacturer. Very easy to assemble!
We had our doubts due to the price, but we have been impressed with its quality and comfort for the price. It is worth to buy and assemble with a partner. Takes up less space.
