This daybed is packaged very intelligently/ all mental components were plastic zip/tied together. Also, the ornate 3 section headboards were in separate plastic bags. thus no scratches on the pristine white surfaces Finally, the screws and wrenches were vacuum/sealed to cardboard so you know and are immediately assured that no screws, bolts, washers are missing The instructions were by numbers and letters with exquisitely detailed drawings with close up sections illustrating precisely where the washers go on the bolts after entering the bedposts. All of this makes assembly a breeze, it took me less than 40 minutes to do this by myself. I am a middle aged woman and not skilled with tools . Plus, I am dyslexic / I cannot easily tell left from right. The daybed is sturdy, and pretty. It is placed in a guest bedroom/home office by a window as a reading nook. I have a conventional mattress and box spring on it total thickness combined is 12. The bar baseboards are strong enough both. Certainly, you can forego a box spring which would increase the beautiful scrollwork . I am delighted with this purchase/ a great value! Works great.
The only complaint I have is that the first one arrived with an extremely beat up and torn box, with the pieces all loose and out of their plastic coverings and as a result there were parts damaged. I then had to wait for the damaged one to be returned before the replacement was shipped. The second arrived in excellent condition, super easy to assemble and delighted to say how beautiful it is and how really happy I am with this purchase. loves it!
The bed arrived in two days in a flat box, all the pieces were wrapped in plastic with packing straps. The instruction were easy to follow. The assembly is easier with two people to hold some of the bigger pieces while the other person uses the Allen wrench to tighten the bolts. The bed is quite sturdy. Good value for the price. This works.
I loved having a daybed growing up so I was very excited to buy this bed for my daughter. It was so easy to put together that I was able to do it by myself, took about 45 minutes. It looks great in her room and she said she loves that its a bed and a seating area. Do the work.

Really Nice Bed Holding Up Wonderfully
