Considering what this cost, it was not bad. I bought it to hold three parts cabinets with small drawers and they fit in it well. I wish the adjustable shelf was sturdier, because I was hoping to put the cabinets on the shelf with additional storage on the bottom. I had to do it the other way and that works okay. The directions were hard to understand in some places and it is difficult to assemble without help. Its nice looking and quite versatile for light storage. I may get a second one to park my TV on once I get my TV room cleaned out.
Everything went great with assembling it because the instructions are VERY clear. I was apprehensive about adjusting the doors but when one was a little off and I started messing with the screws, it became obvious how they worked, sweet. I have it in my home office and its sturdy, and I have a copier on top. I thought maybe one shelve wouldnt be enough but its worked out great for my stuff. And if I ever wanted to have another shelve, Id buy a piece of wood and cut it to fit, no biggie (I have pegs from other shelving bookcases thatll work). I am very pleased!
Using it for audio equipment. The turn table fits perfectly on top. The inside top shelf holds 2 other components. The inside bottom shelf is where we store or vinyl (a/k/a full size records). Fits perfectly in a space between our fire place and the back wall of our living room. and when you open the doors, it does not encroach into the living room. All of this and so far it appears to be well made and the color goes well with the lighter wood in our home.. FYI...my husband assembled it when I was otherwise busy so I cannot speak to how much work that task entailed.
Looks great and easy enough to put together. Not solid wood, if thats what you are looking for. Getting the doors to line up took a little time, but wasnt too difficult. My only complaint would be that it doesnt come with a second shelf. I just went to the store, bought a prefinished shelf and cut it to size. Overall, this brand is a great value.
