I was very pleased with this purchase. I was skeptical due to the price being so affordable, but was pleasantly surprised with the product that arrived. The bed is pretty light, but this is real solid wood. The finish was great on mine, and I got the color that I ordered (noticed this was a problem with a few reviews). There was very minor shipping damage that was on the back leg tucked in the corner so didn't bother me at all. Took maybe 1.5 hours to assemble with that little provided wrench. Wish I could have used a drill, would have finished in 45 minutes, but oh well. Great bed, my son LOVES it, and my brother in law is copying me and buying the same thing for his little monster.
The 4 stars is for 2 things: the lack of labels on the parts (minus 1-4, those were labeled), not that it was very hard to figure out, and one of the screws from the bracket into the slide stripped (fixing with wood glue and little longer of a screw). Else, this bed is great. It took roughly 2 hours to put together by myself, a little shorter than I was expecting, but it is perfect height for my 3.5 yo.
I think I was more excited for this purchase than my 4 yo son. I was a bit disappointed once purchased, the arrival date was like 2 weeks away. I was delightfully surprised to have an email later that day( day purchased) that my shipment was on its way. I got the shipment with in 3 days.
I had read reviews about the packaging being terrible, instructions being rediculus. Not the case. I will say that you have to pay attention, but this bed is easily put together by one reasonably competent person. The packing was all intact, hardware secured in one of the boxes. Once put together the bed is very sturdy and looks very nice. It is pretty short, not to short. There is still plenty of room under the bed to hide toys and brothers. My son builds tents and plays with his nine year old brother and little sister all the time. His brother sleeps under the bed every now and again. I have played unde the bed in our NERF fort, you will have to watch your head grown ups. Especially if your on the taller side. I'm 6 foot and have to be cognizant, or get a knot on my head.
All in all a great purchase. The slide is great. The look is great.
Bed is actually much nicer than I expected in the quality of the finish and sturdiness. It was very easy to put together but is definitely a 2-person job as it is bulky. Very happy with this product, and the price couldn't be beat.
It's very short! Check the dimensions before ordering I was thinking it was a regular bunk bed size only to get it set up n see it's about half the height of a normal bunk bed! Will work great because my daughter is 2 but she will outgrow it fast. Loved everything else about it!
I got this bed as an early Christmas present. Being too old for my princess palace bed, after I looked around some, I decided on this loft bed.
The shipping was faster than expected, and the box was a little torn, but that was expected. Once we opened the box, we saw the wood was just as expected, the same color brown as in the picture, maybe a little nicer looking. The instructions seemed to be pretty clear, and we were able to construct it (with 3 people) in about 2 to 3 hours. the ladder was sturdy, and when I got up it didn't wobble at all, or I couldn't feel it wobbling AT ALL, which was surprising, since there was about 80 pounds total on the bed, I THINK anyways, there was the mattress, me, blankets, and a pile of stuffed animals. I could sit up in it, and the area below the bed provided lots of room, and hanging sheets around the bottom part provided a hideout to do homework, journal, and just self-relax time. There was no paint smell and it smelled like nice pure wood, exactly what it was.
Solid, sturdy, looks great, and a very reasonable price. When one of the pieces of wood was dented by UPS in shipping, Modern Spaces shipped out a replacement piece free of charge even though they were not at fault. Great customer service and a great bed!
This loft bed arrived the week prior to when it was scheduled and looks so nice! We purchased this for my daughter who has outgrown the bunkbed she previously shared with her sister. The wood is actually a great cherry color and doesn't look cheap at all. My daughter loves the larger loft bed with the room underneath to put her bean bag. For the price, this is a great deal. We are very happy!
