Great bike, but came without seat or see post. I had to go to a bike shop and buy my own saddle for 80 out of my own pocket.
Still getting used to bike. Was able to go 20 miles on a single charge using mostly electric. Had to walk bike up a steep hill because Im able to go fast enough to maintain balance.
Folded, it fits in the hatchback of my 2011 Prius!
Have gotten many compliments about the bike. Im sure some people right now are shopping for this bike just because they saw me on it and spoke to me about it.
Is there any chance I can get reimbursed for the missing saddle and post?
Other than the missing part, I love this bike.
Ive had my for a few months now and I ride it almost every day (except when it rains) and I absolutely love it. Any issues I have had have been answered swiftly by the Customer Support team and they have been extremely helpful in not only answering any questions I have but also getting me any replacement parts sent out ASAP.
10/10 would recommend this bike and this company to anyone!
I was skeptical buying this being Im a big boy. Im 6ft 5 and weight 290lbs. Id say it can easily fit someone up to 610. I was mainly worried about my weight with it though. But boy does this thing haul. I can easily go 20mph uphill without even peddling. Would recommend to anyone questioning if the bike can support them height or weight wise.
When I purchased these two bikes I did so with zero expectation of service / as if this were a deeply rooted company. But I must say, theyve surprised me with quick courteous responses to my inquiries and have even shipped me replacement parts free of charge.
Despite my original doubts about the company, I purchased these bikes because I REALLY liked the design for the price / over everything else that I researched in the sub/thousand dollar range. Im handy enough that I knew I could maintain, repair, or modify the bikes to keep them rolling for years to come. I did however make sure to verify that Direct is an actual selling platform for , and that they really do ship from the USA.
PURCHASING – My order was processed and shipping label created the same day I ordered and they were shipped a few days later. The only issue was that I ordered two bikes (which ship individually), and they posted my order as complete, but only provided me with a single tracking number for one bike. I contacted them about it and received a reply the same day (which was a holiday in the states) in which they provided me with the second tracking number.
SHIPPING/PACKAGING / Both bikes shipped from usa, CA via FedEx and arrived in 3 days (6 days from the day of ordering). They arrived in undamaged reinforced boxes with plenty of soft foam and sturdy zip ties. Despite the good condition of the boxes, one of the bikes had a paint rub on the fork (photo) with no paint transfer inside the packaging, so I tend to believe it was that way before it shipped. Both bikes were dusty and smudged all over with fingerprints as well.
ASSEMBLY / Very simple with all tools provided. The tires on both bikes were either half/way inflated or totally flat.
THROTTLE VERSIONS / I had researched the website before purchasing, and found that many of the videos on/line (at the time) actually featured bikes with a throttle style which is no longer available on any of their new bikes. The new throttles DO NOT WORK in setting 0 as they did on the previous models, so now the 0 setting is for manual pedaling only. The throttle can be applied during pedal assist factory settings 1/3, and supposedly up to the limits of each setting – 1 10mph, 2 15mph, and 3 20mph. But I found that the throttle alone is pretty weak, and light pedaling is certainly better for attaining those speeds.
I like this new version because the Ebike laws for the state in which we live do not allow for throttle only operation on any sidewalk/pathway where standard bicycles are allowed and are also shared with pedestrians. While our state has not specifically banned Class 2 Ebikes (Federal classification for Ebikes with throttles that do not exceed 20mph), I have noted that other states and some National Parks/Federal lands have excluded Class 2 from operating on some of their trail systems. So, as Ebike rules and laws may continue to morph, at least our bikes could be easily modified to remove the thumb throttle completely.
VARIATIONS – One of our bikes had a slightly different latch for the handlebar stem, which had an additional bolt attached to the lever. Out of curiosity I contacted about this and they responded (same day) with photos showing the above described latch as being their newest style, with the other being the older style. Both latches function equally and seem adequate, the only difference being that the newer style was harder to hold in place while aligning and tightening during assembly.
Both of the bikes we received had different tail lights. The bike with the above mentioned (new) handlebar latch actually has an older style tail light / which comes on when the light button is activated. The other bike has a tail light/BRAKE LIGHT combo, and the brake light works whether the light switch is on or off! Its REALLY nice, and disappointing that only one of the two bikes I ordered has it. I inquired to to see if I could get a brake light for the other bike, and they said they would ship one out to me. They stated that they did not have one in their warehouse, therefore it would be sent from the factory, and that they would provide me with a tracking number in 3/5 working days. After 6 business days I politely inquired on the status of that, and they provided me with a tracking number for an item shipping from Illinois. However, were currently at day 13 since the label was created, and nothing has actually shipped out yet
UPDATE / I contacted after a couple weeks of no movement of any package with the tracking they provided The response I got blamed Covid and Christmas for the US postal service being so slow. I then pointed out that the label they created had never been received by the US postal service. They once again blamed the post office for not updating their logistics, and they offered me a bike lock for my inconvenience. I wasnt interested in the offer and called their bluff on the shipping excuse. Then they finally sent me a screen shot with the shipping info from CHINA, (not Illinois), and a new tracking number for the package once it transferred into the US postal system. I would have appreciated HONESTY from the get/go, instead of the charade. Anyway, I finally received the new brake light in a tiny, tiny box which arrived smashed. To my complete surprise the brake light inside was undamaged. They had sent the correct light with its attached wiring pig tail, but no instructions. Fortunately we had the other bike so I could trace that wire to the box and identify the correct wire colors and connectors inside. When I opened the box on the other bike I was able to find that the wiring from the brakes was already in place with the needed connector. After quickly plugging in the new light to verify that it worked properly, I carried out the full installation. Im really pleased that both bikes now have the nice brake light/tail light combo.
LCD DISPLAY / The LCD displays/controls are easy to operate. They are affixed to the handlebars (vs. removable), which I think is a good thing / to keep sticky fingered thieves from simply snatching them off as they walk by.
SIZING – The is recommended for people 5 3 / 6 3 in height. I am 5 4 with a 27 inseam. With the bicycle seat adjusted as low as it can go, which is just under 35 from THE GROUND (not from the pedal), I am on tip/toes! However, once Im mounted up, I am able to extend my legs fully and comfortably for pedaling. Mounting is easier for me if I have one foot on a pedal and lightly apply the throttle to pull the bike under me as I take off. Dismounting after a few hours of riding is a bit trickier, as Im not a kid anymore! So something to think about if youre old, short, or not very flexibleas these bikes are heavy, and surprisingly tall for only having 20 wheels. They do make a step thru Ranger model, but the top speed on that one is 25mph and pushes it beyond the Class 2 category.
FOLDING FOLDED SIZE / These bikes are easy to fold up, however, they do not come with any sort of locking mechanism to KEEP them folded. So they do flop around a bit as you lift them to load into a vehicle. Our solution for this was to lash both sides of the frame together with a ski strap, and it works perfectly.
These bikes are HEAVY! We take the batteries out to lift them, which helps, but theyre still pretty hefty.
Folded size is 41 L x 29 H (w/seat down) x 22 W
SEAT / Of course seats are not one fits all. The equipped seats appear to be basic quality, are slightly wider than a typical 10 speed seat, and are stiffly cushioned. My husband and I didnt find them comfortable for long rides so we switched them out for wider/softer seats. Of note, I was able to adapt our new seats to the existing flip/up seat mount that comes equipped on the s. This flip/up feature is a must/have in order to flip the seat out of the way to remove/install the battery. It is also a really handy feature which Ive found to be absent on many other e/bike brands with the same battery set/up.
PEDALS / The pedals are folding, which is a great feature, however, they are all plastic and are of LOW QUALITY. At barely a month and a half of ownership, and less than 140 miles of paved road riding, one of the pedals broke. (See photos) I contacted about the broken pedal and they sent me a replacement set within a week. I had already upgraded our pedals to folding pedals with metal cores, similar to those used on s Ranger model, but I keep the old style on hand as spares.
FRAME – The frames of these bicycles are very robust, have sturdy connection points, and an even paintjob. Probably the sturdiest Ive seen on any bicycle Ive ever owned.
BATTERY RANGE / I WILL NOT be testing battery range by riding until the battery dies. Because, unlike some of those folks who did video reviews, I DID NOT receive a free bike to beat up! Obviously, there are way too many variables for battery range However, based on what were experiencing, s estimate for battery range is pretty realistic if using pedal assist 1 on basically flat paved surfaces.
BRAKES AND DERAILER / Typical of any basic quality bicycle weve ever ridden. Adequate, and nothing out of the ordinary or extraordinary.
RACK – Racks were one of the features that I considered as a must/have when I was shopping for ebikes, and the racks on these bikes are excellent. Very sturdy, with plenty of framework to keep panniers away from the tires.
LIGHTS / See my paragraph on VARIATIONS. But the headlight is adequately bright, and the tail light is very bright and noticeable.
TIRES / Seem to be good quality and beefy. Love the stability of a fat tire for sure. Time will tell how they hold up.
THE RIDE! / We havent ridden regular bicycles in about 10 years, and I havent ridden motorcycles for about 24 years. But the first time I hopped on this bike I just TOOK OFF like a kid with a fist/full of nickels heading to the candy shop! (Left my husband in the dust!) What a pleasure to just ride for the scenery and enjoyment of it, without having to huff up hills. And at our age, it is really nice to enjoy a longer ride without keeling over!
I find the factory pedal assist settings more than adequate, and I like the slight delay as you start/stop pedaling or operate the throttle. I find the WALK feature a whole lot more useful than I thought it would be too.
MANUAL RIDING / Expect a workout! It is much harder to pedal (manually) than any bike Ive ever ridden. So we are careful to monitor our battery range each trip, so that we will always have enough power to RETURN. Otherwise, call a cab to get home!
OVERALL – I am very pleased with our purchase. I like the design, and overall sturdiness of the frame and components. We are having more fun with these Ebikes than we EVER had with our standard bicycles, and we are already using them a great deal more.
The power is better than expected! Ease of operation is a pleasant surprise! Disc Blakes 5 stars. Goes through grass with ease. Very pleased with my purchase. Very good instruction booklet.
I absolutely love my . Never thought it was going to be this much fun but I cant get enough of it. First 3 weeks I put over 300 miles on it but the snow has comeheaded for Florida in 2022 cant wait easy to assemble battery lasts super long . I think its a great value and very well built
Love this bike for Hunting, Quite, fast, and built Tuff . i also cover it with a camo cloth if i dont the deer love to Snort at it , i do use Dialectric grease on battery connections cause of moisture i want it protected and its been fine.

What a value!
An aming product for the money. Like a motorcycle but quiet. Climbs hills with ease and goes fast enough to scare this old man.

Very good build quality. Easy assembly. Might buy a second soon.
It is a bit hard to pedal without motor assist, but acceptable. It is solid and a bit heavy due to the steel frame rather than alluminum.
Love this bike!
This bike is super comfortable, easy to ride, and fast enough. I ride about 3 miles to work on open road and it does the job well.
LOVING MY E BIKE!
