I was hesitant to buy this based on a few reviews I read about poor construction and improper alignment however Im glad I did. It took me about an hour and a half to put this together alone (Im a female in my thirties) but I have put together a lot of furniture myself. If you can follow directions and have any amount of building ability you should be fine. The box is the size of the headboard and its heavy enough you need two people (over 70 lbs). Everything is actually shipped inside the headboard. It has a zippered opening in the back. Value.
This bed frame is perfect for a person who is ready to move into a grown up bed, and out of just a mattress and box spring on a frame. I was worried that it would be hard to put together as I am not mechanically inclined but assembly was a snap and all the tools and required fasteners were included. My assembly time was about 25/30 minutes. It looks nice in our bedroom and seems sturdy and strong (I am not the thinnest of people) and has put up with the wear and tear inflicted by myself, my wife, the cat, and the dog (who love playing underneath it!). There really isnt any drawback to this bed except that this color can attract dust if not wiped down every couple of months. It also did not stain when I accidentally spilled my morning coffee on it. Worth a buy.
Love the headboard and how easy it was to put together. Dont like the height of the actual headboard..it gets hidden behind the decorative pillows. Great value.

The headboard is a lot shorter than expected and the frame itself is a lot lower I guess I shouldve read the detentions.
