    Kid Friendly/Adult Quality

All in all the quality of the bed is very sturdy and very heavy duty. The coloring is nice and I love the texture, The only thing is that the front board of the trundle arrived cracked so during assembly we realized this but the bed was already half way put together, mind you their are over 100 screwspegs so me being the fixer I am, I opted to go get brackets from my local Lowes instead of having to de/assemble the bed and figure out how to pack it back in the 2 boxes and send it back all for 1 board. Im not sure if the cracked board was due to manufacturer mishandling or delivery driver mishandling. But so far the brackets are doing fine regardless. For the price I paid I would have hoped they would of been a bit more careful. Other than that this is a Beautiful Bed. My sons love it. This is really easy to assemble and pretty sturdy.

Nice bed, once you put it together

Very happy with the quality of this bed for the price! But, boy, it was a bear to put together. I am the friend that everyone calls when they need help putting things together but, this was not easy. A lot of parts! With that said, it is a very sturdy, good quality bed. Sturdy.

    My daughter loves this bed

We are very happy with this bed. The instructions were a little confusing at times while assembling, so we had to redo a couple of steps. One of the pieces came cracked, but my husband was able to fix with some gorilla glue and a clamp. Simple and easy to put together.

    Cute but hard to assemble

Turned out so cute! Kind of a pain to put together but my daughter loves it. The screw heads are exposed which is kind of a bummer with the esthetic, and the top slats do not leave any room for error while screwing in. Im not 100 confident they will hold the mattress for a long time Ok.

    Happy overall despite some issues

First and foremost I was very impressed with the packaging, labeling of the parts (minus the drawer hardware) and the instructions. It did take me a very long time (I attempted by myself, not suggested) to assemble. I still havent finished the drawers, I had to stop for a sanity break. The slats were not great. Some were warped and several were not long enough to adequately screw into both ends. I was very happy with the solid wood of all the pieces. I had a couple minor issues that I decided to just address with gorilla glue vs attempting to get replacement parts. The crack pictured was minor and should not affect the integrity of the bed. Overall I am happy with the bed. It will not be something that is used very often. For the price I think it was well worth the purchase. Space saver.

    Good product

Went together easy even though instructions were vague. Use a power screwdriver with hex but it saves time. Thank you so much.

Great bed, but the wheels should be redesigned.

This bed would be perfect if the wheels were better. They are mounted on very flimsy and bend/ break easily. The bed wasnt even put together before this happened. Rolling caster wheels that turn either direction would be much better. The description says up to 9 inch mattress on the trundle, dont do it. It will not work with 9 inch mattress I bought for it. I suggest less than 8, and preferably about 6 or 7 if you want to pull it out easily. 9 definitely wont fit. The wood is solid, no laminate or particle board so it is VERY sturdy if they would invest a dollar or two more in the wheels. It wasnt difficult to put together following the directions, especially considering it has drawers. The drawers are sturdy and work well. The bed is beautiful and a great value for the money. If the wheels were better casters it would definitely be a 5 star rated bed to brag about! Very functional.

Best captains bed with trundle and storage

This is the best of these types of beds available on under 400. All solid wood, pieces were marked per the instructions and in excellent condition. No mdf except the drawer bottoms. The trundle accepts a regular sized twin mattress unlike the majority of others that require a smaller/thinner sofa bed mattress. Assembly does take some time as expected when assembling a large piece of furniture. The instructions were no problem to follow with common sense. The pieces come mixed in two cartons for ease of shipment, not ease of assembly. Time and frustration can be reduced by grouping them by their order of assembly before starting construction. It is more solid and sturdy than I expected it would be. Time will tell but, it seems like it will outlast the vast majority of comperable beds made with mdf. Could it be better? Yes, it could be made of oak, have more bracing, better handles for the drawers and a book shelf in the headboard but good luck finding or even building one like that from scratch for under 400. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase and our 10y/o daughter loves her new bed. I dont give 5 stars unless something really far exceeds expectations. Almost everything these days could be cheaper in price or better in quality in some way. This is a solid 4 1/2. Super.

Holes for bed slats are not pre/drilled!

Holes for slats were not pre/drilled. Took my adult son 2 days to assemble! Sturdy, Grandsons love it. Easy to slide 2nd bed in and out. After reading reviews, I bought 7 inch memory foam mattress for botton bed which has worked great! But nothing bigger would have fit! Drawers are great for storage of extra bedding and toys! Great price and somewhat durable.
