Struggle. The height between beds is about 6 inches too short. Would work well for 1 year olds / 3 year olds, but it is way too low for my 6 year old. There is a bar that supports the slats for the top bunk, which is a necessity, but it guarantees that my child will hit his head.
Our frame also came damaged, which is aggravating. There was a hole punched through the side of the box that was taped over. All boards around the hole were damaged.
We had all the hardware, and the directions were easy to follow. The boards that were not damaged are beautiful. We got Navy and I love the color.
I would not purchase again. I only recommend if the child on the bottom bunk is 3, or very short.
Such an adorable bed for our daughter, love the low height as she is only 3 but still can grow with her, great value for the money, would definitely buy again!! beautiful.
When UPS first dropped the bed off, I asked if there was another box, as I couldnt believe that the tiny, but heavy, package could hold the entire bunk bed. Well, it does, and this is because youre assembling every little piece on this bed. Im used to most bed kits having the head, feet, and side boards already in sections, meaning the picket slats are already held by the top and bottom braces. This bunk bed, on the other hand, has you assembling every little detail of the bed. However, with all this said, it appears much more daunting than it actually is. I, alone, built the entire bunk bed with ladder and slide in about 3.5 hours. The trickiest part is what I mentioned before about the head/foot boards, where you need to get all interior slats to line up between the top and bottom braces. The only part that you really need two people for is connecting side rails to the assembled head and foot boards (I was able to do this by myself using a crib and dresser to wedge the headboard between while I worked on connecting a rail to the foot board).
Now that its all assembled, the bed is really strong and sturdy without any wobble. The slide is much steeper than I imagined, though, so will be placing some soft material at the base of it.
Anyways, my girls, who are three and five, absolutely love this bed. I need.
This is an excellent bed. Very sturdy. The only thing to complain about were the instructions. No words, just pictures. The instructions were awful. Awesome product.
Love the low profile for my 24 year old boys. Husband put together pretty fast he said the instructions were simple to read, I was worried with the reviews but common sense and following the pictures will help! Easy build,

Directions are somewhat hard to follow
The directions are a little vague but overall took less than a couple of hours to assemble. I love this!
Love them!
I question the 400 lb weight limit on the top but the beds are cute and definitely will hold the kiddos. Love this purchase! Good product!
