    Great product

I wanted to wait a couple months after using and found this bed to be aming. Even after moving and having to reassemble it was still sturdy and holds up great. Would very much recommend this bed. Very sturdy.

    Detailed review, and my fix.

First things first, this is gonna be long. Get ready. Overall I think Id give this a 4/5 overall when you factor in the cost. The cost of this bed (while, yes made out of MDF) is considerably less than anything else I could find. However it does seem the cost has gone up since I bought it roughly 50. Its still a good value for the money, once its fixed. Drawers / They work great, however I have one HUGE complaint with them. For some reason, they have the curved edge of the drawer on the bottom of the drawer. I assume they think most people will use their foot to slide the drawer open? Or maybe mine were manufactured wrong. No clue. However, they slide nicely and assuming the bed is square theyll be fine. Quality / Mine actually arrived defective. I was going to send an email or contact the seller but never got around to it. Whatever, probably happened in shipping. Speaking of shipping, the UPS guy knocked on my door to see if I was home. Thankfully I was because I have no clue how the poor guy wouldve unloaded the boxes it comes in. It came in 3 or 4 (its been about 6 months since I bought the bed) oddly shaped boxes that were HEAVY. Im talking like 60+ lbs heavy. For boxes that are 4+ feet long. Just keep that in mind! The big issue with this frame appears to be their attempt to keep the bed square. Its a terrible attempt, honestly. For one, they have flimsy little metal bars that go from one of the seperators for the drawers to metal bars attached at the top and bottom of the frame. The included hardware to secure them to the metal bars is junk. They came unscrewed after a couple months and came undone. After that they have sheets of plywood maybe 5 wide, by 80 and 1/8 long. THIS IS THE ISSUE for the most part. Sure itll work, but they dont include hardware to secure the plywood sheets to the frame. I believe they are supposed to slide in and stay put.somehow? And to make matters worse, the is ACTUALLY 80/5/8 to 80/3/4 long. Therefore the plywood sheets just slide from top to bottom, and just slide out of one side. If youre confused, what i mean is if you put one in the top, slide the bottom in while doing so the top will slide out of the metal bar because the piece is 1/2 short. MY FIX / it might be a bit overkill, but this I wanted something strong and durable. The plywood planks kept sliding away from the center of the bed, then the mattress would dip down and I was afraid it would damage the mattress. First and MOST IMPORTANT, square the bed up!!!! If you dont know how to square something, YouTube will probably explain better than I can. Essentially though, if your bed isnt square, the drawers will not close smoothly, or close completely across the top of them. Basically itll look like a rhombus, you need it to look like, well, a square. The issue I ran in to was the top and bottom of the bed will bow out, so get the sides square. 2nd / I bought 2 sheets of 7/16 OSB, 4 x 8. You can use a thicker size, 1/2 or 3/4, or even Plywood. OSB is much cheaper however. I ripped the 1st sheet down to 80/5/8 long. Keep the width the same 4 its manufactured as. Slap that bad boy down then get the measurement for your 2nd piece. Mine ended up being 80/5/8 long by 28 wide. Throw that bad boy down on top of the metal bars as well. 3 / Make sure you pull the top and bottom parts of the frame in when securing the OSB/Plywood to the metal bar frame. My bed was slightly out of square until I pulled them in then the drawers sat flush to the frame. I put 6 screws in the top and bottoms of the OSB. I also put 2 near the seams of the 2 sheets, but that isnt really necessary. again, overkill. The screws I used were Self/Drilling screws, I believe 1 long. Please see pics, with comments if youre super confused. Cool!!

    Not the best frame

The wood for the frame do not come plastic wrapped, so make sure youre home for delivery. The boxes are extremely heavy and you need 2 people to lift. Plan for a few hours of assembly.

    Change Assembly companies.

Basically like the bed. After six days of rescheduling assembly company employees my son came over and put the bed together. Very inconvenient and stressful. Still love it.

    Bugs

Bed came before the day it was said to arrive, set up was a longer process but was easy. The beed itself is nice. My only complaint were bugs on the wood when we pulled it out of the box. As we were building the bed we were killing gnats. I needed a bed so we killed them all and finished building. Better yet we thought we had killed them all and now I am getting bug bites from sleeping in this bed. I am highly disappointed by this and frustrated. This is not a problem I should be having, it makes meeting feel gross and just itchy. I want a bed not bugs.

Looks great but take your time!

This bed is a definitely a project to put together, especially if you do it yourself (Im female, 5). The bed comes in 3 boxes, the heaviest was 70+ pounds, up a flight of stairs. Took me about 3 hours to put together, but I took my time to make sure I did it correctly. I have to finish putting the storage drawers together. I love the way it looks in my room! Will post pictures once I get the headboard and its assembled. Side note, one of the side boards was scratched but not a deal breaker for me. It was perfect!

Great if youre single or you dont get much action.

If you plan on being single or you go to bed alone most nightsthis bed is for you. If you are married and have special time with your partner one or two times a month.this bed is for you. If you are trying to get hot and heavy and do it like mammals.this bed IS NOT for you.

    Good product, so/so assembly instructions

The overall look is nice. The directions for assembly had issues. The cabinet slides are identified as the drawer slides and vice versa on page 2. (Plus referring to the as cabinet slides is a little confusing as there are no cabinets!) Step 6 should be step 5 and vice versa. If you try inserting the JRN nuts first (step 5) they will fall out before you finish step 6. In the directions the JCB Bolt is referred to as the JCB Connector (instead of the bolt). The illustrations were very helpful when the directions were a little off. Page 14 has very useful direction for how to correct the bed for the drawers to fit properly. Very cute.

    Great Value!

Outstanding function for the money! It seems to me that most of the negative reviews could be prevented. I put this unit together with no problems and no modifications or reinforcements. Here are some tips that might help in considering the purchase of this bed platform as well as guidance regarding methods of assembly: / DONT buy this unit if you do not have experience putting furniture together / DONT use power tools to assemble (try to use only the tools provided and your fingers) / DONT overtighten or overdrive hardware parts into wood pieces (stop when it is snug) / DONT tighten hardware all the way in all steps (leave some wiggle room and finish tightening at the very end) / DO take your time to assemble (If I raced to get this done in 2 hours I probably would have had problems; instead I took my time and spent almost 4 hours to finish it) / DO have another person help you move and shift the large platform into place as it nears completion / DO assemble the platform in the same room where it will be used (avoid carrying it from room to room) Love it.
