Awesome! I hesitated at first due to some of the reviews but decided to take the risk anyway.
The bed arrived within one week of ordering. My daughter and I put the whole thing together within one hour. In the final step, you have to drill in the screws for the wooden slats/boards for support/ we opted not to drill with screws as we have another bed similar to this one and it came with velcro strips to simply place the boards on the bed. For this reason, I did not feel that it was imperative that the boards were attached by drilling screws. The bed arrived with no damage and came with all the pieces required. I laid everything out on the floor and designated the required pieces for each step (there are nine steps total). My husband arrived and was thoroughly surprised that we had put it together since so many of the reviews stated that it was so difficult and time/consuming/ LIES! Seriously, I think some people simply exaggerated or had very little patience because in screwing some of the screws in: first with your fingers, then finishing with the Allen wrench; sometimes you have to PATIENTLY do this part. I will post pics later! Love this bed!
This came so fast that I didnt even get the notification that it had been shipped out yet. I got home from work to see two huge boxes on my porch. So unexpected, but I was excited. The next day notified me they had just been delivered. Lol. But this bed is everything I hoped for. My mattress fits perfectly on it and it was incredibly easy to put together. In fact, my 11 year old did most of the work for me. She was even able to follow the directions. Id recommend this bed over and over!
The bed itself is fine, but the headboard doesnt look as tall as in the picture, so be sure to note the measurements if that matters to you. The bed arrived with some tears in the packaging, but they did not look too bad and since we had movers coming the next day, we just let them load it up before opening the box and inspecting the product. Unfortunately, after the move and after assembling the bed, we discovered a tear in the fabric on the headboard. The tear is just about 1/inch, but it is there, and will probably expand over time. For the price I paid, I do not want to return such a large item so I will just live with it and put a decorative sham over it. Lesson learned.
This is a very pretty set, we love it, however the description states that it is adjustable in height, but we cant figure out how to make it taller. There arent enough holes to do that. It sits at 47 right now and should be able to go to 51, but it doesnt.
Cant beat the price and quality of this plantform bed. Im pretty nerdy when it comes to researching and reading reviews before I purchase and while this item did come in a box that look pretty roughed up, it really is a good value and built very well. I would suggest some shout on any dirty spots and let it set. I then dryed it with a hair dryer. I would also use a drill with hex but to save your hand.
I love this bed. I fell in love right after unboxing. Its not a good idea to set up when you are tired and its close to midnight or if you have had a few drinks. However, I was able to put this bed together with minimal hassle by myself. The problems I had is the middle bar, that goes between the headboard legs, for the support was bent. I had to straighten it out and even then the bar was to long for my head board. Luckily I have a great universal support that fit with my old bed and also fits the new. I noticed another customer also had the same problem of the middle bar being to long. The other thing that bugged me is step 7 should be more like step 3 or 4. This is where you have to add the studded wings to the headboard. Its way easier if you do it when the frame is still unattached from the headboard. This is where I pretty much wanted to start cussing. Other than that I really like this bed frame. It really gives my whole bedroom a new look.
I think it looks expensive and its very cute. Kind of on the short side but it works for my space. One the holes on the headboard wasnt drilled in the right spot and I just left it out. It didnt impact the sturdiness at all. FYI youll need a drill to attach the planks on the very last step.
