This was the hardest thing Ive ever assembled ( doesnt have anything on this table). And I had help. Even with following all the directions, there was a gap between the two parts of the top. It bothers me a bit. That being said, the design of this table is SO freakin cool! I love the sliding part to put laptop, remote controls, etc, and also love the part that comes up. Super cool.
My husband put the table together all by himself so I cant speak to difficulties that others had. He said it wasnt bad, but he is very proficient. I got it to hide the mess I make where I sit, so I use it backwards and not for a computer table. For my use it is absolutely perfect. Its deep enough for a box of Kleenex and all the rest of my stuff. The side part that slides open is great for speciality items. My only thought is that its a little tough to get the lift to start, an issue for someone a little feeble, but not an Issue for me. Just so ya know. I got the black and it has just the right amount of grain showing to make it attractive. Im very happy with it.
Table assembly went smoothly everything fit correctly. Works great looks even better than expected! I love being able to store our laptops, mail, etc inside it. Definitely recommend!
It was very easy to assemble the coffee table. The table looks really nice in my living room and displays quality. The lift/top is so easy to open, works perfectly and has a soft close that gives me the benefit of not worrying about damages when I close it. I do most of my work on the lift/top now. The coffee table is also easy to move for my recliner sofa whenever I need to rest and just watch TV.
This is a nice looking coffee table, I love the fact that it raises and lowers.
However, I am disappointed in the veneer. It is glossy which not only makes it immediately apparent it isnt wood, but shows every little fingerprint.
In addition the spring arms like to scoot and fall off the pegs after a few opening and closings. I found this out the hard way when I went to lower the raised top and instead of soft closing it slammed shut. Luckily the glass bowl on it didnt break.
Now I check them every now and again.
If they had just included rubber end caps instead of just a in groove in the peg, this wouldnt be a problem.
When putting together it is very important not to tighten the screws all the way while you are building the box, and putting the tracks on. You need to be able to wiggle it to square it up before you do your final tighten.
I have built an entire bedroom sets by myself so building a coffee table from a flat pack should not be any issue for me. But the instructions and parts for this coffee table have so many issues that i struggled to finish it.
First of all, some of the metal pieces have extra materials on it that make assembly impossible. I need to file and cut them off before I can fit the parts together.
Secondly, the hydraulic mechanism is different than the one printed in the instructions. The position for the screws and the extension arms are not what is printed on the instructions. And two of the 4 screws are right under the arm of the hydraulic extension that it took me 20 minutes to put them in. I could only do a quarter turn each time. The two horizontal rectangle bars are not in correct dimension that there is no way Part H in the hardware pack can be put on.
Thirdly, the directions and positions of the boxes components are opposite to reality. I have assembled furniture enough that I could tell where the wood dowels should go. But the instructions was wrong.
Lastly, there was nothing In the instructions that said I need to stretch the hydraulic mechanism to reach the width of the assembly. The width of the assembly was an inch shorter than the box that it needs to be mounted on. I almost gave up and return the product.
This table looks and works great, you do need to pay close attention to the instructions and diagrams as it can confuse you and things will end up upside down or wrong. I recommend you take your time, and review every step before you move forward and you will end up with a nice looking, working coffee table.

Looks and operates well

Good, solid table
Be careful on assembly//everything fits, but its a little tricky to adjust the top pieces to fit.
Love my table!

Easy to assemble and really good support

A few flaws but nice overall
