I dont usually do a review but I was disappointed in the color of the white bed. We have true white trim and a bookcase in the same room and this bed looks off/white. Its all put together at this point and its ok but dont suspect we will use it for more than a couple of years. Wish I had bought the gray one now but my husband would not want to put another one together again! Hard to assemble
Searched and searched for this type of bed and glad we chose this one. It took us all day to assemble but the boards are labeled and we followed the step by step instructions with no issues (dont skip steps). We did need bunky boards even for our spring mattresses. Thank goodness we had two from the bunk bed this replaced and a piece of plywood for the other. Otherwise the mattress caves in at the end. The kids love it! We have an 8 and a 9 year old up top and a 14 year old on the bottom and it works. I have even climbed up on the top with my kids exceeding the 160 lb weight limit with no issues. It is really tall
much taller than the bunk beds we had before so look at measurements. Overall good purchase and I feel like this will hold up. I have no idea how we will get it out of the room though hahaha Its pretty aming
I ordered this bed set for my twin grandsons. I figured the loft beds would avoid any fights over who got the top bunk (my 3rd and younger grandson gets the bottom bed). I ordered the metal version, but received the wood version, which was fine with me (the wood version was more expensive, but I was only charged the metal version price). The assembly was a bit time/consuming (lots of parts, and some of the screw placements are a bit awkward to work with), but everything fit, and no parts were missing. The only problem was that the bed was 3 too long for our room (shared with their dad). The solution was to downsize my son from a queen mattress to a full mattress, and then it fit fine. We decided to put 3/8 plywood on the slats to form platforms for the mattresses, because the slats dont reach close enough to the ends of the frames to prevent the mattresses from sagging at their head or foot. The slats are sturdy enough to support the weight of the mattresses otherwise.
Those were the only issues we had. Otherwise, we are very happy with the beds. The wood is good quality and nicely stained and finished, and the beds are sturdy and attractive. Notice in the photo that one ladder is completely vertical, and the other stands away from the bed at a slant. The slanted ladder seems to be easier for my grandsons, age 6, to climb, though they both use both ladders. The boys are still small enough that they can sit up on the bed without hitting their heads against the ceiling, but that will change as they grow. There is plenty of room under the beds for shelving along the wall and a kid/size table and chairs, so they have made a lot of floor space available, which is nice. If you have the floor space to fit the beds (be sure to measure your space, you need 120 on the long side), I think you would be very pleased with them. My boys are delighted with them. youll be content
Perfect , easy to assemble , space saver , and sturdy for my monkeys (4,5,7) they love having their own space but still being together ! Definitely a win with this purchase ! It looks pretty good.
when i first opened the boxes for this bunk bed (it came in 2 boxes) i was overwhelmed, and cracked open some white claws. (the ease of putting it together actually blew me away, and the white claws were a bit overkill in retrospect.) i was skeptical on how sturdy it would be, because i have 3 boys; an 11 year old, 8 year old, and 3 year old. i also have a 6 year old step/daughter, and they are collectively the reasons we cannot have nice things. this bed has held up nicely, and the kids absolutely love it. with the amount of times this bed has been used in intense games of the floor is lava i am confident i have gotten my moneys worth. just buy the bed, you wont regret it. its very comfortable
