PACKAGING: This bed is well packaged, and came in a relatively small box considering how large the final piece is.
ASSEMBLY: Against my better judgment, but in the interest of time, I put this together by myself. It took about 3.5 hours total. The instructions were decent, but there were a couple pieces I had to redo because the diagram wasnt very clear on which way to turn the piece and I was in a hurry so I missed it until I tried to attach the next piece. Placing the slats underneath was a bear. The plastic squares that close up the openings to keep the slats in place were brutal on the fingers. I was afraid to use a hammer because I didnt want to break them, but they were so hard to lock into place I was nearly in tears. I tried starting from different angles and it didnt seem to make much of a difference. Maybe wear gloves for that step.
STURDINESS: This generally feels pretty sturdy. I love how many slats there are to support the mattress, so sagging should not be an issue. It does creak a bit and Im slightly bummed by that.
SIZE: Im not sure if the mattress space is tighter than it should be or if the mattress I bought is slightly larger than it should be, but there is ZERO space to comfortably make the bed. The sheets are just kind of crammed into place. That is the most aggravating part of this bed, but again Im not sure if its the beds fault or the mattress.
COMFORT: As others have stated, the ladder rungs are very painful on a bare foot. After a couple weeks I decided to hack around that. (See video in this review) For 2 at Lowes you can buy a foam pipe cover and cut it to size for each rung, and the bottom frame. I slid those over the rungs and they made a significant improvement in comfort, but felt dangerous because they spun around. So I grabbed double/sided grip tape used to keep area rugs in place, and cut into the appropriate size strips and placed them under the foam on each rung. Problem solved! Now more comfortable and safer. Nice color and easy to assemble
The bed is great quality the height is perfect. My only set back is the latter. I wish they had a more comfortable step. The bars are hard on the feet. Weve improvised with some padding. It didnt acure to me the steps would be painful until it was in use. Was pleasantly surprised
It took awhile to assemble, but it is solid. Dont tighten any bolts until the very end!
Also I got a 6 mattress and I have to put the sheets on with the mattress raised up on top of the rails and then press the mattress down into place because it is a tight fit. Great value
Good build quality and value. Our only complaint is the rungs of the ladder are exceptionally small diameter. This may not be a problem for very young children with small feet but slightly older children may find it very uncomfortable or painful to use. We purchased a playground style cargo net with larger wooden dowels as an alternative and secured it on the opposite end. Kids are now happy to climb in and out without pain or discomfort. Overall a good purchase. Excellent quality and Excellent choice
I am a single parent and hauling this package up my stairs was really difficult and assembling it was easy but time consuming. Final product is a little more wobbly than I would like but I trust my son to be Safe and hes too little to make it wobble. Lastly, bunk beds for less quality are easily 1,000 and this bunk bed for normal mattresses at a much more affordable price. Cant go wrong with metal and I was happy with this find look great reliable.
I bought two of these beds for my boys age 15 and 12. They love them. They are a little wobbly if you dont secure to the wall, but other than that would definitely recommend these! its very nice and I love the color. Worth it

Use my power tools. I would not have the patience to do it by hand. Lots of parts. Great for the price. Very sturdy Good price as well
Best metal twin bunk

Easy to assemble reasonable price love it Very reasonable too!!
Worth it for sure!
Easy to put together. Sturdy for a 9 year old but it creaks when you wobble it around. Great buy for the money! The price is reasonable though.
