I liked the way it came in the box. Easy to assemble and instruction were good. You have to be really careful not to cross thread the bolts. I lubercated the bolts with petroleum jelly. Have paper towel or a rag handy. Finger tight about 3/4 tight and finish with the tools. If you cant finger tight them you have them cross thread. Remove and start them over they will work fine. I would have liked regular bolt heads. Maybe they use allen head to stop over tighting.
We loved this bed when my dad came as we have a tri fold mattress for guests. I was hoping this would be easy to take down and store but it isnt. If you arent going to use it for an everyday item in your house get something more storable . Oh and you absolutely cannot put this together alone. The way the screws and nuts go in I had to admit defeat. And Im 34 and have lived in 6 major cities by myself and have never failed before. This was a first.
We had some trouble getting parts to fit, especially toward the end of the frame assembly. Certain hardware wouldnt fully attach without stripping or risking bend/breakage. It does come together, and it is simple enough to assemble that you dont need a handyman or professional.
Bed frame is nice when its done,but assembly is a mess..so many knds of screws,different angles,like two here and
one there..etc..All that is not necessary at all..There are other that they only require 1 screw at each corner,an they all are the same,not different types..Dont know how their minds work..Anyways,when its done its a nice frame,it really does the job,and its sturdy with no squeaks..
My mom wanted a bed frame thats has alot of Storage space under it,...this is perfect, especially for small rooms with very little closet space. The frame is also very sturdy and was very easy to assemble..it took us 30 minutes or less to put it together. I would recommend this bed frame and will buy another when Im ready to down size my other bedroom.

The bed came in an appropriate size box and wasnt too heavy. It took a short time to put together and was true to the picuture!
