Assembly was a bit more than the usual, but it wasnt terribly difficult. The instructions were clear and all the parts are packaged in a labeled plastic thing which made it easy to figure out which parts to use. The picture doesnt do it justice. Its a lovely plush gray velvet. Ive only slept in it once so I cant really speak to sturdiness yet but it doesnt move or creak at all when I get in the bed, and seems stable. Overall very happy with it. Easy to fix.
