Very heavy, get help lifting and assembling. Consider adding a bunkie board or plywood.

(Photos were taken during disassembly, after some parts had been removed). Arrived in one box, which I mistakenly thought I could lower into my house. Although I can easily leg press the weight, the box was so tall that I got momentarily pinned under it and herniated my L5 disc. There was probably a warning somewhere on the box to team lift it, but I dont remember seeing it before injuring myself. The pieces are heavy duty and well made. All the parts were clearly labeled, the holes lined up and the instructions were clear. I managed to assemble it with only minimal help from my kid to hold a couple of pieces in place, but it would have been easier with another adult present. Finished product looked great and had plenty of storage. My kid liked it at first. After a few months he began complaining of discomfort and back pain when sleeping in the bed. I ordered him a traditional bed frame to replace it. While disassembling this bed, I noticed the metal support slats were majorly bent in the middle, where my sons torso was positioned when he was sleeping. It was assembled and used correctly, and including mattress, bedding, and kid, was way under the weight limit. By this time it was too late for a return. I contacted the manufacturer to inquire about a return, and was only offered more of the same defective metal slats, which I did not want. I contacted customer support and was told that due to circumstances they would allow a return, with the return shipping deducted from my return amount. After checking with my local UPS Store and some more back and forth with customer service, I determined it would still be worth the effort to return the bed, confirmed that I would like to go ahead with the return, and asked how to go about getting a return label. This was 11 days ago, and Ive emailed two more times, and had no response from . I would love to get this taken care of and free up the space in my home where the rather large pieces are being held. I had to forego renewal of my Prime membership due to medical expenses associated with the injury from this bed. I had hoped to use the return money to renew Prime. Im still hoping to hear from Customer Service soon. Update: The day after I posted this review I received a return label from customer support. Thank you !

Use a drill and two or more adults to assemble

Looked very nice Bought this bed for our 9 year old. If you dont have two adults and a drill to put this together, it could take forever to assemble. I could not carry the box inside by myself. It took me and my husband two hours, with a drill to assemble. Follow the directions! But once we got it put up, its VERY sturdy and she loves it. Its very tall, like a bunk bed. You will need a smaller mattress like under 6 to ensure they dont roll out. But overall, very pleased with this purchase!

Pretty sturdy and very sleek looking, DEFINITELY the best bed to save storage spaces

If youre thinking about it...Order it! Not the easiest to assemble, takes a few hours... since the only thing that can fit the screw head is the little hex key... But totally a space saver, the shelves on the side and at the end are excellent to put books and baskets. Saves money for buying extra bookcases and shelves.

    Great purchase

They Look perfect in my quest room Bought 3 for my grandchildren they love them. Plenty of room to sit up and read. One bed had a part that was bent, my son contacted the company and they sent out a repla6and they got within a few days. It did take a couple hours to put each bed together but it went together well. Very little noise with kids rolling over etc. Very heavy with no sway to it.

    Fantastic Loft bed!

Very stylish and great quality! Incredibly sturdy metal frame. Packaging was well thought out, with every piece cushioned with styrofoam in between. All parts sleeved with plastic to prevent rubbing or damaging each other. Came with all screws and tools necessary in the manual. Overall process was estimated to under 4 hours, considering I did most of the initial setup by myself. Had an afternoon shift so I had my brother finish the easier and less back braking steps. So just note that if youre planning to do entire process alone, set it up opposite to the manual, or upside down on the floor. Since youre doing all the screwing by yourself, you wont have anyone to hold up the frame. Tip, place it against a wall, or have it lean against something. I had a stool and a couple of boxes to temporarily place the frame on top. Rest of the process is quite easy once you have the basic frame of the bed on all fours. After the set up, I immediately experimented in populating the shelving with a few items on just the first two which immediately freed some space from our closet. Had our computer desk set up underneath with some space next to the shelves for another small drawer. Having the shelves double the use as the ladder going up the bed itself, was just brilliant. Havent had any issues so far on durability and its overall functionality. But if I had to nitpick I wish theyd include some kind of soft cover on the steps, as its quite hard on your feet, and you will experience those occasional creaks whenever you fumble and move around while you sleep. Overall I really am glad I made the purchase. Got this at a small discount and the only thing Ive regretted was hesitating when this was at its lowest price at the time. Been in the market for a decently priced loft bed, that can utilize a small room by having that space underneath the bed. Im really glad I found this one, as it sets itself apart from other loft beds with its unique shelving and ladder combination. Also, the good thing about this bed is that it isnt restricted with a built-in desk. So you can make use of that space more by getting yourself a desk you may already own. Having an L-shaped desk underneath would make a good workplace set-up or play area for kids and young adults alike.

    Great Bed!

It meet our need Its a great bed for a tween, my son loves it. Hes about 100 pounds and has had it about 2 months. Its holding up great. No squeaking, very sturdy. The only negative thing is that there is no real handhold at the top of the ladder.

    Things to know

For those thinking of buying this bed. 1. Assembly wasnt easy due to the bolt holes being covered in paint. Bolts were hard to start. 2. The instructions, were clear, but make sure youre grabbing the part called for or you will do some backtracking. 3. Have someone to help hold pieces. An extra set of hands made all the difference in the world. 4. An allen wrench is provided, but I suggest getting a 4 metric allen socket and ratcheting wrench. Will save time. 5. Not all the holes line up well. Bring your patience! 6. Be sure the mattress is a 6 mattress. We have a 10 mattress and 2 of guardrail. While this wasnt the hardest thing I ever put together, it definitely wasnt the easiest. But at the end of the day my daughter loves it. Thats what matters most.
