We purchased this bed for our 4 year old son. The bed is extremely sturdy, to the point where Ive climbed up the ladder and sat or laid with him several times and felt perfectly safe doing so. It doesnt wobble or move. The wood seems like its really good quality and Im very pleased with it so far.
The reasons for my 4 star review instead of 5 are the instructions are nearly impossible to read, and there was a large dent in one of the main wood pieces. I didnt want to bother returning it because he really needed a bed, we had already thrown out his other one earlier that day, and we were able to put it in the back of the bed against the wall so no one can see it. The instructions had NO words / only numbers and pictures, some of which were helpful, and others which were incredibly difficult to figure out. It took me and my husband several hours to assemble it. To be fair, we had been drinking a bit, so take that with a grain of salt I guess. But my husband is a pro at assembling new furniture and even he said the instructions were ridiculously hard to understand.
Overall we are very happy with our purchase and our son is sleeping like an angel in his new big boy bed! Well made, easy to assemble and useful.
It was easy enough for an adult to put together, though it took a couple of hours. It looks nice, and my daughter loves it.
But I would have preferred something a little more sturdy. It sways quite a bit when I lean on it with the slightest pressure. At over 200lbs, I would not feel at all comfortable climbing onto it even for a minute. But its fine for my 11yo.
The ladder steps are also big enough that the cats get up and down with little difficulty. Solid and basic.
Bought two of these for our twins to make the most out of the space in their room and so they both wouldnt fight over who gets to sleep on top. They both love their beds and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for one. Smaller than I expected.
I have to go to Ace hardware today because like another person reviewed the bolts provided for a portion of the shelves do not fit. Like WTH its made putting this bed together a lot harder than it shouldve been. Also the bolts couldve and shouldve been labeled. Nice well made.

This loft bed was easy to assemble and its very solid and sturdy. The bookshelf holds a lot. The ladder looks great but not meant for full body weight of a 250 pound adult. The loft bed holds weight very well. It could use a better quality ladder or stairs. Really Worth it
This bed is gorgeous and sturdy. It squeaks and such but the bar under the slats gives me immense peace of mind. My kid adores it. That said the instruction manual is only pictures. No words. It is the worst. But we got it done. Not so bad.

Surprising sturdy
