Complemented by backboard but it looks great with out it. Instructions sucked and screws and bolts were missing but luckily I had some saved from precious furniture pieces.
Product was packaged good, no damage when received. My wife and I are extremely happy with the end result. Assembly was simple but the instructions were horrible(lots of squinting). Its a pricey product, but We dont feel like We over paid.
The shelf is nice if your looking for a narrow thin shelf for under your tv. I wanted something to hide all of my wires and plugs and to put my sound bar onto as well as a couple components. It really was pretty easy to put together and it is not very heavy. To Mount it, I just set it on a table and built it up with spacers to get it to where I wanted to mount it without needing a helper. Took me about 2 hours taking my time for the total project. I used only 2 of the pre drilled holes for mounting into studs and think this will be just fine for me.. You may want to use a not included 3/16” drill bit for pre-drilling into your wall stud. Very happy with this purchase and recommend it!

Think outside the box when attaching to studs. Only attach to studs.
Loved the shelf. Hate it was not aligned with studs. I have to improvise. Two brackets on bottom one centered between the studs/bottom brackets.
