The instructions aren't great. Minimal. There's not a lot and all pieces are not fully illustrated in every diagram.
With patience? You'll get a pretty sturdy bed. We're both bigger people and it feels very secure. Time will tell if we like it long term, but so far so good. I looked for over a week for a new simple bed frame after the zinus one just didn't live up the the hype. This is better. A lot better. It makes theirs look like crap.
So far it's a good buy.
This bed turned out even nicer in person than it looked like online.
1. Easy to assemble - My son put this together on his own. I heard just one curse, so I know it was a simple project.
2. Sturdiness - It can hold up to a thousand pounds! Is this a bed made for the Thing from the Fantastic Four? But seriously, my son says it hasn't budged even a little since he set it up and it barely makes a noise when he flops down onto it after a long day of gaming/
3. Under bed clearance - his last bed was a lot closer to the floor and it made it impossible to store anything more substantial than a shoe box, impossible. Now there is enough clearance to hide a multitude of his collectibles, plus shoe boxes.
4. Aesthetics - To be honest, I thought it was a bit plain and homely from the images online. But this is actually a pretty nice looking bed. I think it matches several other pieces of furniture in his room (totally unintentional since I bought several pieces over the year to make his room tidier). Also since most of the frame is metal it looks nice with wood pieces as a splash of modern or with modern pieces for the opposite reason.
I love this bed frame. I got it for my small studio apartment. The set up is nice and sturdy. specifically, I like how there is no “connecting piece for the side rails by bolts. It makes the bed sturdier compared to my other one. I can store things underneath it. Id say the color is a little more “yellow than Id like, but its grown on me. In my opinion; its better for a guest room rather than main bedroom. Its been over a month and I feel like I need to tighten bolts again to avoid some minor squeaking. All in all, its perfect for a young girl in her 20s that has limited options.
The headboard its self comes with some screws in it for transport that you must remove and they are in there so tight that its impossible to get out. Ended up stripping the screw and had a whole situation but eventually got it assembled! Very beautiful.
This was a breeze to assemble with two people. If you are by yourself you will need to have someone help or be very creative. The bed is beautiful. People have mentioned the color is mustard, but that is what it says on the description if you actually read it. My husband and i love it!!!!!!! Came two days early as well which was a plus. Be sure that the felt is up for the wooden frames or you will have to redo the whole thing like we did. It was super fun to put together with a bottle of red.
