    The good and the bad

My husband builds steel buildings for a living. So you would think following the blueprints and putting up a simple loft bed for our five year old would be simple. It took the both of us roughly four hours to do. You can probably shave off a little time, given that we were dealing with a very small space- hence, the need for a loft bed. It was a huge pain, and the trash accumulated from it was a little ridiculous. The instructions also fell off on usefulness around 2/3 of the way through. It went from very precise to little more than guesswork. The stairs still aren't entirely right, although they're plenty sturdy enough. Having said all of that, my son LOVES it. We got the firehouse curtains and he carries on about his firehouse bed. He actually sleeps in his bed now without having to argue and fight about it. He'd had a racecar bed since before his second birthday, and he was over it about six months ago, but now he willingly sleeps in his bed again. So, basically, be prepared for the blood, sweat, and tears of putting this thing together- especially if you're dealing with a tiny space like we are. But at the end, happy, happy kid. So its worth it.

Strong sturdy bed if you have 4 hours to assemble

I love this bed. Instructions are easy but there are so many parts. TIP: Don't tighten any of the screws until the whole bed is put together. I had a small issue with the steps, and I had to go back and untighten everything. But wow!! The bed is amazing for the cost. I am going to turn the bottom part into a princess den. I strung some glittering lights all around the bottom that hang down. This is a great buy once you assemble it! 5 STARS!

    Lomget assembling ever.

Let me just say. I wish i read the reviews before i bought this. I don't know if i still would have. The over all product is decent. It's sturdy and im hoping it lasts a long time. But it took..... FOREVER to assemble. You could tell the boxes were thrown around because some of the bars you had to put together were bent so we can to bemd them back to fit. The instructions were good. But just sooooooo many steps and sooooo many peices. NOTHING is put together at all to make it easier. This took us probanly 4 hours if not more. Our kids are 8 and 4 so this isnt our first rodeo with assembling beds/furniture. But WOW.

    Nicer than expected

It took me 7 and a half hours to build but my kid loves it! The package is really flipping heavy to move inside so have help with that it's not as tall as I thought it would be but I also didn't read the measurements, I just assumed it would be at least as tall as I am. Once built, it's super sturdy and looks nice!

    Sturdy bed

Bought this bed as a 'big boy bed' for our 4 year old. He loves it! Assembly took a couple hours, but was pretty easy if you follow the instructions. The bed is sturdy and seems well made. I can snuggle with my son and read books before bed and I feel like there is plenty of room for me, an above average size female, and my 4 year old. Great space underneath that we can store toys or he can play under if he wants.

    Worth it

It took the better part of a day to assemble, but my boys love it. For the price it was totally worth it. Its just tall enough for my two and five year olds to sit in their kid armchairs for story time underneath.

    Squeaky, but sweet!

The bed was fairly straightforward to assemble. It is a bit squeaky when my son moves around in it, but it seems to have lessened (or I got used to it). The room under the bed is a cool space for my toddler - but just to short for me to hang out under there. Overall, this bed made it easy to boot our toddler from coming into our bed because he wants to sleep in his tall bed. NICE! Recommend if you are trying to evict a cosleeper.

    Long Construction

Nice bed, took a LONG time to put together. 6 hours in-fact. Pieces didnt line up, stripped holes etc. Needs handy person to install not for faint of heart.

The bed itself isnt hard to put together but ther stair section is ridiculously tedious. There was one part that the bolt and ...

First and foremost is this bed worth it? Absolutely! The bed is very well made. I cannot find one issue with the sturdiness of the bed. The parts are not cheaply produced, they are tough and durable. I have no doubt this bed will last many years. Assembly is a PAIN! The bed itself isnt hard to put together but ther stair section is ridiculously tedious. There was one part that the bolt and hole didnt match up but other than that no flaws. Just a pain. Too many parts that could have been condensed. It took my husband and I about 4 hours total to put this bed together with no breaks. I was missing two large screws but other than that everything was included. Thankfully my sons older bed had two screws that worked so all was well. Overall a nice bed. Challenging to put together yes. But worth it. Will I take it with me if I ever move? Nope hahaha.

The bed itself is strong and it's pretty easy to put together

We bought this bed for our grandson. He loves his loft bed. The bed itself is strong and it's pretty easy to put together. Overall it's a good bed. Since we've been using it we've found that there is a bit of quality issue with the stairs. Because of the way they are put together with use the screws holding it together are starting to show though the wood. I know they're probably not really designed to support the weight of an adult but because it's the only easy way to get into the bed sometimes they need to. I'm always careful if I have to climb up that I try to stay at the outsides and put as little weight as possible on them when I climb up. Overall I've been happy with the bed and would buy it again if I needed one.
