    All Season Office Chair

I have tried many office and executive chairs, but I keep returning to this Ergonomics Office Chair. It keeps my body cook both in summer and winter, allowing the body to breathe and letting the cool or hot air circulate around my body. This chair is also quite ergonomic and comfortable to sit on. One warning! The box says not to use sharp material to open the box. It's serious. I used a box cutter and it slightly scratched the seat cushion. The cushion may be touching the box. Most people, like me, don't read the warning since we've opened many boxes like this. The packager might need to create a gap between the box and the content, or they might end up receiving many returns. I recommend it!

    Decent quality

I spend several ours in front of my computer everyday. Thats why I wanted to get a comfortable chair with a back support. This office chair Is very comfortable. It has a back support which is a plus. Even though it took me a while to assemble, it is was not that hard. Overall good buy.

Mostly comfortable, but required a fix and is too expensive

This chair is easy to assemble, and it's made even easier by the inclusion of an Allen wrench with a large plastic handle (much easier to use than the standard L-shaped tools). One piece of advice: look for the arrow subtly embossed on the seat bottom to tell you which direction is the front of the seat. There are a number of nice features that make this chair comfortable. A screw mechanism can adjust a bulge in the lower portion of the seat back to provide lumbar support suited to your needs. The headrest moves up and down and can be adjusted to different front-to-back angles. The arm rests are adjustable up and down but do not swivel. The chair height can be adjusted with a standard, handle-controlled hydraulic lift. All these features can be adjusted to meet the needs of individual users. I found the foam-filled chair seat to be a bit too firm, much more so than mesh seats. One feature did not work at all. The back would not tilt back. My husband took apart a screw mechanism at the bottom of the seat that was said to control the tension in the seat back as it reclined. For reasons neither of us understand, the back started reclining after he put the mechanism back together. The screw handle did start to properly control the tension of the reclining seat at that point. Please note, however, that the seat is designed for rocking back and forth. It cannot be fixed at a reclining angle. In sum, the chair is easy to assemble, adjustable in  many ways, and mostly comfortable. But the reclining feature required a fix, and the chair is just too expensive at (currently)  $219.99 given that there appear to be similar chairs available at around half the cost.  Because of the expense and the need to repair one of the chair's features, I believe it merits three stars.

A big difference compared to my old IKEA chair

Update 2/16/20: If you are considering this chair on your carpet, be sure you are using a polycarbonate or a heavy-duty chair mat since the wheels are narrow and exert heavy downward pressure towards the mat. You will have difficulty rolling on a light/medium duty vinyl-based chair mat since they tend to depress with pressure and will certainly start cracking over time. After having my IKEA chair for more than 5 years, I decided it was time to part ways with it. Not only was the padding starting to thin out, but the screws were also starting to poke through the padding such that I am feeling the two screws whenever I sit down on the old chair. Moreover, the squeaking was also driving my family insane as my parents would not allow me to sit on this while they are sleeping (it makes a loud squeak whenever I move around in the chair). This new chair makes absolutely no sound, regardless of how much I move or tilt back on this chair. I decided to get a new chair with a head and armrest since oftentimes I fall asleep in my chair. On my old chair, I would often have neck pain for a few days after falling asleep with my head tilted forward. While you cannot rock on this chair, I have fallen asleep a couple of times on this and it has always been fairly comfortable thanks to the well-padded headrest and armrest. The headrest may feel a bit awkward at first, although its tilt and vertical positioning can be adjusted so it does not just poke you in the back (which looks like the problem other folks are having with this item). Assembling the chair was quite easy and there were not a lot of moving parts. Interestingly, they also provided cardboard cutters in the box, which is appreciated (although I ended up breaking the plastic after trying to flatten everything at the end). There were spare washers and screws after you are done, which I guess is nice in case you strip something while trying to install the chair. There was a bit of grease on the various bearings (which I expected and hate), but it's quite nice that they already thought of this and gave you a pair of gloves to protect your hands from sharp edges and grease while you are installing this. Was done in about 35 minutes from start to finish. Really loving the chair and no skin reactions to the fabric so far (I am sensitive to a lot of chemicals so I tend to be fairly selective when it comes to furniture). I will update this review shall anything occur in the future.

    Very comfortable adjustable chair

This chair is very comfortable, breathers well avoiding a sweaty back and has a nice supportive back rest and bottom cushion. The arm rests only have up down movement, not in and out. The bottom cushion is a medium length. The head rest is very adjustable and fits my very tall torso (39 to top of head sitting with back to wall).

    Best desk chair EVER!!

Ohhhh myyyy gooooodnessss! I LOVE this chair! I am a teacher and they always give us 800 year old desk chairs that are horribly uncomfortable. So when I saw this I ordered it for my classroom hoping it would be comfy. First off I was intimidated bc it comes totally disassembled. I put off even opening the box for several weeks bc I saw how small it was and figured it would take forever to put together. Finally I asked my male aide to do it for me. It came with all the items that you need labels and was extremely easy to put together. Within 15 min I was rolling around in it. The wheels move extremely smoothly. The height can be adjusted. It seat is padded and very comfortable. The arm rest have a sight cushioning to them. The back of the chair goes up very high. It gives lower back support amazingly!! The headrest is extremely comfortable. I now have people fighting to get to my chair first to use it bc its so comfy!!!! 5 all around!

Comfortable, easy to assemble, and great support!

This chair is extremely comfortable and provides good lumbar support - my primary reason for replacing my old chair. The chair is very spacious, and I like how so many elements of it are adjustable.

    Comfortable desk chair.

I ordered this for the home office. My wife runs her business out of the home office and spends a lot of time at the computer. She had a low back computer chair that looked very nice but offered no support. This chair has much more adjustability and is much more comfortable. It came well packaged and was easy to assemble. Office chairs can be pretty outrageously priced. I think this is the best of both worlds. In my opinion it is a very high value chair and worth the purchase.
