I purchased this bed originally on Wayfair for $609, a few days later I got an email saying shipment has back-ordered and I would have to wait a few months for it to arrive. I decided to check for a similar daybed and I happily found the same one here for a better price and extremely quick shipping time (about 1 week)! I purchased this for my guest room/office and Im going to have much fun playing around with pillows to make it look like a couch. Overall its a beautiful daybed with a sturdy trundle. A regular 12-inch thick mattress works great on it. One downfall is the fact that the headboard is a little bit flimsy and leans back when you lean against it, but putting a few pillows over behind you works great. I also noticed how the wood that goes under the bed is not a traditional ladder style bed base, this modern one includes plastic attachments in which you click into , creating a very much sturdier design than a traditional bed base. Perfect for what I wanted. Found a foldable Queen mattress topper that I will keep for guests as the bed itself is very firm, but it is perfect for what I wanted day to day. If I wanted something that feels like a real bed, I would have ordered something that holds a real mattress. I was looking for something that would work as a sofa everyday, but converts quickly and easily to accommodate up to two guests. This was a bit pricey, but I am happy with the product itself. Easy to set up, looks nice
OVERALL: The piece is sleek, elegant, versatile and its made from quality components. Love it.
TWIN TO QUEEN: It makes a great twin sleeper and the comfort of the queen when the 2 pieces are put side by side is good, too but only 9 above the floor. Overall size is the same as a quality twin cot - slightly narrower than a real twin but not bad at all. Both pieces have good quality, firm memory foam mattresses. Side-by-side queen sheets fit perfectly. As 1 or 2 twins, cot-size sheets (available from ) work great. Twin fitted sheets are 6 wider but work okay, too. 2 twin flat sheets work great, too.
COLOR ICE: Its light gray. Mine is surrounded by windows sometimes there is a faint cast of an aqua hue when full sun hits the velvet just right, but 90% of the time Ice is a neutral gray. The attached photo shows it in sunlight on a dark brownish gray floor. It is a nice neutral that goes with most colors.
ASSEMBLY: is easy. Can be done by 1 but better with 2. The mattresses really do just pop to full size when released from the plastic. Pieces are light enough for 1 but it is VERY helpful for 1 person to hold the corners of the mattresses in place and push down while another person pulls the zippers. It is a little cumbersome for 1 person to push hold and zip and get it perfect alone. With 2 it goes very fast. Instructions are simple and clear. Takes less than an hour to open and assemble without any tools. They even include a rubber-clad cloth tho help you twist on the bun feet.
QUALITY COMPONENTS: The velvet covers and their zippers are nice quality. So is the folding plywood base. So are the screw-on Maple Bun Feet. So are the mattresses that arrive rolled up. The maple bun feet are unfinished. I left mine unfinished for now. as they are pretty hard to see.
Overall, a great find at a fair price. Very, very pleased. Exceeded my expectation on quality
Perfect for our Grand kid room! Great height, stylish....I get lots of compliments. Easy to set up if you follow the directions! Comfortable to sit on for adults and kids, not sure how it sleeps yet but really happy with this purchase. Had to have a new platform sent ( screws were stripped) and I just want to praise the company for having excellent customer service and quickly sent the replacement! Easy to assemble! So luxurious!
I purchased the turquoise color in chenille fabric, and it is very nice looking. I took a nap on it to test it out, and it is quite comfortable. Much more comfortable than a futon or air mattress. When used as a Queen bed, I recommend using a mattress topper to cover the split between the two halves. My only complaint is that the fabric smells like fresh paint. Its very strong. I am hoping it goes away soon. But overall, very happy with this daybed. The elderly might have problems getting in and out of this bed because when its used as a Queen bed, it is very low to the ground. Quality is good. Some reviews complained it was not worth the price, but it is made in the U.S.A, which is a good thing, so of course it is going to cost more. ... exactly as it shows in the picture and the best..
I love this! I live in a really small studio so I needed something that can be a couch in the daytime. I love the look of this and it feels very well made. It was super easy to put together and looks expensive. My only complaint is that you can feel the seems in the middle when you flip it into a bed but I bought a foam and mattress topper to go on top and that pretty much fixed it. The foam is light so its easy to make into a bed and back into a couch Beautiful product, excellent customer service
