I use my folded down into futon mode, not couch mode. The only real beef I have is the support bar in the middle of the futon section. I wish i had extra padding. And I guess if I got really picky I wish the headrest was bigger and had arm rests, but thats just nitpicking. Tbh, its a good couch for the price. I have seizures so I needed something I could sit on without a fall risk and I enjoy my floor couch. my husband tends to find his way into curling up around me on it from time to time so it fits 2.
This is a great little couch for the value. Could fit 2 adults or 3 small kids. The material is soft and well put together. It is very comfortable as a 22 year old, and it even has internal bars supporting the structure (you dont feel them). Folds out nicely to lay on. Would recommend!
I am 66 and this couch slaps. The pillows that come with it add lumbar support that I havent gotten from bigger or more luxurious couches. Is it going to be smaller than you think? Absolutely. Is it going to move around a little bit when you initially sit? You bet. But, at the end of the day, and for the price, youre not going to find a more COZY couch on imo.
Im an adult and bought this as my main seating option in my small apartment. It was a little daunting to shop for a floor couch since most of them are marketed to teenagers as gaming chairs and I was concerned that it would look childish or be too small. After doing a lot of research I purchased this couch and am so glad I did. It really is good quality in terms of the stitching, the softness and strength of the fabric and the metal frame. The caveats I should add are that I have mine leaned up against a wall so Im not using the couch back itself as back support. It probably has good support on its own but I havent tried that yet.
Cons:
As a bed: I havent used it as a bed yet, but imagine it would be fine for a few nights, though not luxurious. The padding is high/quality (uniform support, holds up well under pressure) but its on the thin side. However, I think the average person could fall asleep on it and have a reasonably good experience.
Cons as a couch:
The upper layer of the couch starts to slide out when you sit on it and get up/sit down several times, and then you have to pull it back into place again. However, I bought a Gorilla Grip sheet marketed to hold couch pillows and bed sheets in place, and so far its working very well. If you plan to use this as a couch, I highly recommend buying a Gorilla Grip (or similar product) rubber sheet to put under the top layer.
Keep in mind that this is 45 wide. Thats about enough width for two reasonably thin adults to sit side/by/side without touching, but it isnt as large as a regular couch or even loveseat. I put mine on a plush white faux fur rug which gives it a much more elegant, plush look overall, and I added some gold velvet pintuck throw pillows that look perfect with the brown upholstery. I will add photos later.
This loveseat looks good on its own in a Zen, minimalist modern way (the lumbar pillows it comes with really add to the style) but when you dress it up a little more with an area rug and throw pillows it can look very classy.
As with any floor seating, youre likely to sit somewhat cross/legged and need to use proper form when getting up/sitting down. There are lots of yoga articles/videos online that offer instructions on this. At first I was a little sore from sitting on this for most of the day while working from home day after day but with pillows and some yoga stretches to accommodate sitting in half/lotus position, my body adjusted quickly. I only mention it because at first I was afraid I had made a mistake by buying this vs. a higher sofa. Now that I use proper form, I notice that my body feels better than it would if Id been sitting on a regular couch all day. There are articles online about the benefits of floor seating, and that you use different muscles and form better posture as a result. I used to have a deep, very cushy couch that was very comfortable, but after sitting on it for a few hours, Id have back pain. I think transitioning to firmer seating that encourages us to use our abdominals just a bit for posture is much better for the body. After the first week my body adjusted to it.
I ordered this so my husband has a comfortable place to sleep downstairs since I have to use the bedroom for overnight work and cant have people hear personal account information. It super cute, soft, and came WAY earlier than expected. About a week and a half early.
Couch is perfect for my daughters room. She wanted a place to sit and watch TV since her loft bed was too high. Bonus is that it folds out toa bed for friends.
I just got it yesterday and Im sooooo SO in love wit my it. I cant wait to have a movie night in my room with my loves. Its comfy and its worth every penny. Ill update if anything changes after the usage for awhile.
