    Daughter's new bed

Overall my wife and daughter love it. I had some struggles with assembly (especially with the bed rails and lining up the hex bolts) but put it together in about 1.5 hours aside from a few chips from shipping , looks great and we are already looking to find lights and pillows to dress it up.

    The best choice

This bed is a beauty! It's perfect, excellent quality, easy to put together (it only took me an hour). They delivered it to me on the exact date they placed it, it arrived perfectly fine, and I assembled it as soon as I received it. It's nice! Can you fall in love with a bed? Yes I am! As for the mattresses, the 8 one fits perfectly on top and the 6 one fits perfectly on the boot bed. (The mattresses were not yet in the photo)

Great value! Simple modern design. Just needed a couple tweaks!

I decided to write a review to provide some helpful tips on this bed. Some background: we were looking to add a bed to our second guestroom but anything bigger than a twin would take up too much room. We also felt like having a twin bed was a bit of waste since only 1 person could sleep there. Enter this trundle bed bed (two twin beds for the space of one twin bed!). Perfect! I looked at many designs and they all seem to gear towards too childish/girly (i.e., something you find in a dollhouse or lacked style (all the fabric ones). I really liked the simple design of this bed that I felt could last through changing trends. Just change the pillows/blankets to fit your style. A note on color, I got the Castanho color which looked like an ash brown in pictures but is more a warm brown. I believe another reviewer described the color as more rustic cabin less mid-century -- I think that's a spot on description. Although I would have preferred a ash brown, the warm brown still looked fine. Putting together the bed took about 1 hour. The instructions were pretty clear. Essentially you make the top bed first then you make the bottom trundle. The last step for both parts is to drill in each individual slat. I decided not to do this. TIP 1: Use Velcro for the slats instead of drilling them in I ordered some Velcro Tape of 30ft and 3/4inch wide for $18 (https://www..com/gp/product/B000GRBEK2), I probably used about half the box. I put the rough side on the bed part then cut up the soft parts in strips to put on each end of a slat. I wasn't sure how well the adhesive would stay so I also used a staple gun to add two staples to each soft strip on the slat. Then just secure the slats on the bed and trundle using the block spacers provided. This whole process probably took me 30mins. And now the bed won't be a pain to take apart or move should we ever need to. TIP 2: If you have high carpet, use furniture sliders instead of the wheels So our room has super high pile carpet and the trundle wheels were essentially useless because they were too short/small. I decided to remove the caster wheels and instead ordered some furniture sliders. I got a set that had 8 carpet and 8 hardwood sliders for $12 (https://www..com/gp/product/B088P6CP4L) -- note, the width of the discs (3.5in) was the same width as the trundle slat where the wheels went. I combined 1 hardwood slider on top of 1 carpet slider than just placed it under the slat in each corner where the wheels were originally attached. I thought about securing these sliders with tape or glue but it wasn't needed -- the weight of the trundle kept the sliders in place. The trundle now slides super easily. TIP 3: Install some straps to make pulling out the trundle easier So because of the high carpet, getting our fingers in between the open space of the trundle and the bed was a bit difficult. I installed two leather cabinet pulls from Ikea (search OSTERNAS leather handle 6 -- currently $16 for two) on the front of the trundle. Now our trundle bed is easy to pull out. All in all, very happy with our purchase even though we had to make a few modifications.

    Great purchase

I was hesitant to spend so much on a bedframe for guests, but was so glad I did. It goes in my office and I've turned in partly into a couch area. This piece is very low to the ground, the wood is great quality, and the trundle is currently doubling as a kind of pull out storage drawer until I buy a second mattress. First off, I was super impressed by how it was packed. All of the bed slats were used on the outside of all four sides, so any damage to the box did not touch the visible bed pieces. I put it together by myself, and it was as easy (or easier) to assemble as IKEA, but was wonderful real wood. The exception, and this is a very big exception, is that the bed slats need to be drilled in (they do not just sit on top), and there are no pilot holes. YOU WILL NEED A DRILL. It took longer to drill the slats in than build the whole rest of the frames. BUILDING TIP: When you're trying to attach the posts to the side pieces, set the side pieces on three or so stacked slats on each side. You'll be able to screw everything in much easier having it raised off the ground. My carpet is deep, so its doesn't roll easily, but I really don't need it to, and it does roll. I did have two bed slats with some discoloration that indicated they were at some point wet / mildewy, they still felt sturdy and were dry at the time. Everything else was in pristine condition. Packaging was perfect. Delivery was (freakishly) fast. Instructions were clear and simple, I put it together alone.

    Could be more sturdy

I received much earlier than expected which was a huge plus! Then when we were ready to assemble, only one of the two beds we ordered came with the parts ♀️ So… me being the patient person I am, called , they offered me a return or they could get intact with the manufacturer…long story short we really do appreciate s attempt after hours but I went ahead and contacted furniture myself and was able to get 2 full bags of the tools it was supposed to come with without extra charge. After 3weeks We were eventually able to put the beds together once the supplies arrived! Very easy to assemble, materials could have better identification I feel because its made by furniture the bottom portion of the frame could be more sturdy.

    Awesome

This was an incredible score! There are some reviews that had my husband concerned about the rainforest - suggestions that the would was sourced from there. I looked it up and found this from their website: All Beds are constructed of 100% Solid Wood. Sturdy and durable, the Beds are built to last - the quality and workmanship you've come to expect from . In addition, the beds are eco-friendly, with all wood sourced from renewable pine plantations. We have this in our lift guest space and will be great for two people to crash. The trundle comes out completely so if your guests feel like social distancing if they want, lol, they can. We bought the inexpensive memory foam mattresses that were recommended and they are shockingly soft! Even the 7 one is great. Dont listen to the reviews about fiberglass. Why in the world would anyone ever open up the mattress?…. I might get another of this for our sons room for sleepovers and saving space. Get the Wowmax wedge back rest for added comfort too.

    Beautiful Piece but Issues

The bed is beautiful. It is very natural and stands out when walking into the room. The color matches perfectly with the picture and is on point with everything the description says. Ive had the bed for two months now without any major complaints. However… lets talk about some cons…. The bed arrived with one of the support pieces of the frame cracked through. I ended up securing the crack and hoping for the best so I could avoid returning such a large item. As of right now it hold up but the company has to be more careful with defective items. Second… if you decide to put this together yourself, its easier with two people and two drills. The support layout for the mattress is required to be screwed into place. You are talking about roughly 15-20 board that need to he screwed into the bed frame. Then anothee 15-20 board for the day bed. Without a drill, a lot of time and effort will be needed! Overall, Im happy with the bed and I do recommend the style of it. It seems secure if all pieces were 100%. Ill say it is close to being worth the price!

    Beautiful!

This is a lovely bed! I put it together myself. It took me about 2 and a half hours total. It DEFINITELY needs a power drill to complete the task (you have to screw each slat in the bed individually, among other power-drill necessary tasks). I had a heck of a time deciding on which mattress to buy for the underside. So to save another buyer the trouble- I went with the 6 Memory Foam Bamboo Mattress Twin from Mattress Firm. It fits easily under the bed. I also got the 10 Bear Original mattress for the top. Both are CertiPUR-US certified and don't use fiberglass (at least as far as I could tell). Otherwise- the bed is really beautiful and the design is simple and sturdy. I recommend!

    Solid wood and excellent quality

I got this day bed to use for my young nieces when they visit me on the west coast and it looks perfect in my study. It was straightforward and easy to assemble. Once completed, I was very pleased with the durability and weight of the bed. I put a 6 twin mattress in the trundle and an 8 twin on top, which fit perfectly. If you're looking for a day bed that looks and feels like it came from a de facto furniture store- this is perfect for you.
