I will preface that we just received and assembled this bed today. Everyone is right about the color of the gray/which is actually why I bought it. It is more of an off white with a gray undertone, but the color is perfect for our room. Looking for an affordable, good looking storage bed leaves much to be desired, and Im so happy we went with this one. Assembly was relatively easy, only took an hour to get the frame together, another 35 for the drawers/ clear instructions and everything was labeled. Well worth it!
Obviously, as per every other review, the grey color is more of an off white.
but, I was aware of this and it happened to be the color I wanted, and it looks great, and sleeps better so far!
This is an awesome bed frame if youre looking for something modern and functional for a great price. A few things to note / get an 8 or 10 inch mattress so the mattress doesnt take away from the headboard. The mattress size in the picture is 10 inch and works perfectly. This bed doesnt make any noise so that is great! Its relatively easy to put together, took 2 people under 90 minutes. The drawers are good enough quality, I probably wouldnt put very heavy things in but theyre sturdy enough for general items. Honestly, you get what you pay for and more so this bed is a total steal in my opinion. And also yes, it is essentially white so be cautious of that if youre looking for a grey bed! All in all, 10/10 and would recommend so far! Check back in after a few sleeps.
I will start with the cons as there arent many, first this is more a cream color than grey but I figured that before I bought it, so not really disappointed just something to keep in mind. Second this is kind of expensive for having plastic drawers. The plastic is pretty thick and durable, but still plastic, one sharp corner and you will have a hole, the upside is that there is a metal cross frame under the plastic so if it becomes a problem you could cut some plywood to fit and insert it. Since this is potentially fixable its not a deal breaker for me but you would think that they could include something more durable as the base of the drawer at least.
Now for the pros, and there are a lot more than cons, it looks great! So pleased with how it came out, it took a while to put together, like most of the day, but I was doing it slowly to ensure it was done right and mostly by myself, just my 12 year old daughter to help, which you can probably guess wasnt much help, lol. No power tools needed, just an Allen wrench which is included, very simple and well organized instructions. Everything was packaged well and nothing was damaged, though the box is heavy. it has a metal frame that connects all the pieces and it feels very sturdy put together. I read some reviews that didnt like the slats, too flimsy, they do seem like they could break but all mine were intact and we installed them easily and so far they have held up, it feels like they give the mattress nice support. I really like the way the drawers have wheels and secure to the bed frame, it can be a little awkward to unhook them if you are on the bed but nothing too difficult and it gives the mattress a nice frame so it stays in place. Everything considered I am very pleased with this purchase but time will tell how everything holds up.
I know everyone says that its hard to assemble and it breaks. I weigh 110 lbs and had an easy time assembling by myself. Im a real person btw and wasnt offered anything to write this. The bed doesnt make a sound and seems very solid. Cant speak to a couple sharing the bed regarding weight but I hope this helps if you are feeling discouraged. Really nice bed frame.
My 15 year old child put it together by herself in about 3 hours shes never put anything together before so that means it was fairly easy to put together.
So, it took us 3 weeks almost to receive this. seller was not forthcoming with a tracking number. but we did eventually receive it.
Took about 3 hrs of putting this together the instructions were very easy to follow and everything matched up! That is a 14 inch memory foam mattress, my husband is 200 lbs and Im 300ish. The bed is able to hold our weight!
The headboard, side boards and foot board are all in great repair and love the fact that its not cheaply put together they actually tucked and glued the excess material with industrial stuff!happy with my choice
This bed is sturdy, but it does take some finesse to assemble. They definitely intend for you to assemble the pieces loosely then tighten all the screws at the end. I used a impact driver set on low, otherwise using the provide allen wrench would have been exhausting. Im pretty handy and assembled it myself (with a drill) in about an hour. I think it would have easily been two, by hand. The bed is very stable once locked down and the fastening system for the slats is quiet. The bed does not squeak and the headboard is sturdy enough to brace yourself against without it feeling like it would break or come loose. The downside is that the side rails are so low that you cant use underbed storage, and the slats are fixed so lifting the mattress doesnt help. However the bed is overall so light that I can lift foot of the bed and slide things under anyway and then they are fully hidden from view.
The green is rich, and the fabric is sturdy but smooth/soft. Overall, very happy with the purchase.
