I really like the bed frame, but honestly the directions would be much easier if all the pieces were labeled/ but theyre not. Just simply pieces of wood and holes that you have to work hard to assemble through photos in and white that show only one side. It looks great now that it is put together but it took a very long time. Seems fairly sturdy but a lot of the wood also seems thin. Hope it lasts! Beautiful color and drawers are nice to have except difficult to assemble without kinks in opening.
Came to the front door in 3 separate boxes would recommend staying home if your loo to receive it without it being stolen from the front of your house. It took 3 hours to assemble it. Be careful its microfiber wood so dont screw it in too tight otherwise wood will crack. Overall Im not thrilled about this product the wooden racks that hold the bed keep popping out of place. And the bed it impossible to move if its on carpet! Weve tried! The only hung I like about it is the storage drawers thats it
I have always wanted a bed like this. It took a few hours for me to build by myself. Ive had it for 8 months now though and the slats are coming out. The metal bar that keeps them in place, has somehow become bent and pulled some screws out of place at the bottom so my mattress falls down if I sit on the edge of my bed.
This is a complete waste of my money. It is glorified particle board and has fallen apart in less than a year. The side panels are disintegrating and the screws are ripping out. I am proficient in carpentry and this was not user error.this was a complete lack of quality product. I am so disappointed. Pics to come
We have currently spent 2 hours just putting the drawer boxes together. We plan to finish tomorrow and I can update my review then. However the holes on some of the items dont match up and the directions arent clear. Very frustrated right now.
Ok so heres the lowdown. It took me about 3 hours to assemble this bed of which about 2 hours was assembling all of the drawers. I did have a power drill and I used it whenever I could. Im not sure why some people took like 9 hours to build this. I took my time, laid out all of the pieces, did each step slowly chec my work, etc. and I was done with the main bed part in about an hour. I did it alone but it would be much better if you have another person to help you.
The pieces are pretty cheap and bad. Youre basically buying furniture that is glued sawdust (particle board) and painted to look like its wood. The screws are all fine but I broke one of the pieces of wood when I moved the bed a few inches because I pulled on one side and the screw popped out. When I tried to put it back in I noticed that the wood had split and broken where I had pulled it.
The paint is pretty thin so it will scuff and rub off if you drop something on it (in my case, I a small item fell from my headboard and it knocked paint off the bed frame.
I did not reinforce the bed with angle brackets. I think that is a good idea to get it more sturdy but I think they sort of make it loose on purpose so that it can be moved around a bit to get the drawers to fit right. You just make some adjustments until the drawers all open and close properly.
The slats are really weak. I was afraid that Id get a splinter since the wood was so weak and falling apart. It does seem to hold my mattress fine though but I will feel better if I replace the wood with something better from the hardware store.
Assembly wasnt hard but take your time because if you build it wrong, it will be a pain to take it apart and redo it.
I also got the headboard in another sale and although the material is similar and I think its the same company, the headboard seems like its more sturdy.
If you have a box spring, you need to get rid of it. I tried to use it but the bed was way too high and the headboard was out of place so I got rid of my box spring (just gave it away for free).
Great bed frame! Love the storage drawers! Was a little suprised that the drawers werent pre/assembled, but thats a mild thing. Easy assembly, though one of the slats just barely fits on the frame it was cut a sliver too short. Overall, a great bed and a great buy!
I love this bed!!! Great set!! Easy to put together and take apart if you need to move. Great sturdy materials but the drawers will need extra support to keep from sagging. Easy fix.
Update*** this is the bed with the floating headboard!! It looks great and is perfect for this bed frame. I also have the bench!! I love, love, love this set!
We chose this bed bc of our budget, and needing to maximize space in our small apt. Its serving its purpose, but my brother had to reinforce some areas. Great bed for the price, and knowing that we will upgrade when we move to out home. Not so great if youre loo for for something long/lasting
