This is a beautifully made shelf! And I was extremely surprised at how easy it was to put together! I love the wood color the metal addition is so lightweight a beautiful!
One of the holes for the base was defective and the screw wouldnt fit inside. Way too much effort to ship entire table back for a replacement. So now its assembled, minus that one piece.
This table is used for our entry way. My husband put it together took about 30/45 minutes to assemble. The tools used to assemble werent very sturdy ending up stripping so it took a little longer. Otherwise a very beautiful table super sturdy. I told my husband the description indicated it could hold up to 300 pounds. My husbands a solid 210ish he sat on it it held very well, no buckle or anything. I dont plan on putting 300 or even 200 pounds of stuff on it but its good to know it could hold it.
I would recommend this to anyone. States you need two people to start putting the unit together but I did it myself. I am a 63 year old female and had it up in no time at all. Holes lined up, the surfaces are high quality and quite sturdy. The only thing I over looked is that as I was using this to hold my TV and other electrical components; and the wires could be seen in the back. But, with a little effort I tied them to the frame with wire managment strips and all was good.
First, it is a heavy piece and therefore sturdy. The boards nice and thick, as well as the frame. Looking at the product prictures and a lot of the reviews I thought this might be a grayed brown, but no, it is gray. (Even in my pictures I think it looks brown, but in person believe me its gray.) Since I could only get this color in the 55 its not really working in my utterly beige home. But its a nice enough piece that Im just planning on painting it. There were issue, a bent frame piece, a bent rod, wood without the screw hole insert, wood that was missing the paper overlay finish but had been painted gray to blend in. I was lucky because I was able to hide all of the damages, but the bent frame and rod made for a tough time at the vey end getting the rods to sit together and line up to allow a bolt to be threaded in. I had to work at that, but once it was together it really looked nice so I guess Im between 3 and 4 stars. When I was putting it together I didnt like it as much as I do now that Ive had it in use for a few weeks.
I put this together myself in about 30min. Its cute, sturdy and easy to put together. There were concerns with the cross hair frames as three of the four were pretty bent out of shape AND had poor drill hole placements for the screws. Since theyre decorative pieces and not structurely supportive, it was pretty easy to bend them to fit proper. Definitely check your pieces for damage prior to assembly, just in case. Overall, good purchase and I will likely buy a second one in the future.

Was a little difficult to put the bars that cross over together, but other than that it was pretty easy to assemble.
