Totally works, modern look. Can you spot the movie reference in the review?

I like it. SWMBO decreed we have something for the kids to sit on in the basement and her visiting friend somewhere to sleep. Enter , Prime and my cellphone and this thing arrived a few days later. I estimated 1.5/2 hours to put together including the use of a power drill for all the bolts and it ended up taking almost three. Tedious would be the word I would use. Not terribly difficult, just tedious. For example, the support for the mattress and both bottom pieces have like 24 vertical bars that each require 2 little plastic tabs pressed in with your fingers. Its tedious. That said, I cant imagine moving and taking it with me. Nah thats a lie, once the support slats go in I think it would break down pretty easily. Passing the supports onto the consumer probably saves some sweatshop like 48c per unit though so I do feel bad taking jobs from the hardworking indigenous people of wherever. Its reversible if you want. Assemble with the ladder where you want and put the LEFT futon bracket on the side with the ladder. Its easy to go from couch to bed provided you remember theres a lock keeping the couch from inadvertently switching to bed15 minutes later It does wobble a bit. It really does need some cross bracing in the back, but kids bounce so if anything cry did happen Im sure theyd be fine. Its a hit. Couldnt imagine putting it together with the provided tools though.

and I love it, makes great room to have a bed

Im a college student, and I love it, makes great room to have a bed and a couch to watch tv in the small room my college budget allows me to afford. Btw I got the 9 inch futon and its great but I wouldnt recommend any futon less than 8 inches

Great bed. Very sturdy. I put it together myself, a mistake. Wouldve been much faster with 2 people so get help if you can.

    works great for small space

bought this for my daughters apartment. it arrived quickly and was put together fairly easily. it is sturdy enough for a smallish person.

and was fairly easy to put together

The bed itself is structurally sound, and was fairly easy to put together, saves a ton of space and was a pretty good price. However I agree with other users that the color is in fact a dingy, muted gray color rather than . It made little difference to us since it matched with our decor, but the description should really be updated since its very misleading and other buyers might be very disappointed.

A good purchase. Like both bed and desk.

Got this and assembled in a couple hours. It is very solid. Most beds have a little jiggle/sway. Those small motions get magnified in a taller structure but its still no big deal. By comparison, this is much more solid and less squeaky than the ubiquitous stacking wooden beds that many of us had in the 70s. As with many such projects, its great to have a cordless drill/screw driver when you are making this. The small shelf in the picture is not there, but the desk is large and really useful (great as a desk and strengthens the structure). As others have indicated, the ladder is a bit uncomfortable. We used foam pipe insulation around it and my daughter thinks its great. The bed is in a corner, and we also used some of the same kind of foam padding to pad the top corner of the bunk (wrapped around the back corner of the top of one leg). This is because the baseboards keep the corner leg about 3/8 inches away from the corner of the walls. A little padding up top closes that gap and helps stabilize the bed. The support bars for the mattress come with clever, strong plastic clips that help minimize noise, vibrations, and movement. We painted the black squares on the top rails the same lavender color as my daughters room. It rally softened the beds appearance and tied it into the room. We used a 5 thick mattress, but after seeing it in place, we would have had no worries with a 6 mattress.
