This is a great looking chair although its not as comfortable as it looks if youre looking for a comfortable place to sit for a long time. Both the sit and the back are pretty hard. But what I really didnt like was the instructions. I have assembled hundreds of pieces of furniture in my life, and this particular chair gave me a hard time. The instructions werent clear at all!
This was by far the worst piece of furniture Ive ever assembled. The directions are terrible and I put together a fair amount of furniture in my lifetime. The holes were drilled wrong. The dowels wouldnt go into the holes. It took so much longer to assemble than necessary. Once assembled the chair is fine. It is best to assemble with two people. And if you arent good at assembling furniture or need explicit instructions, dont buy these.
Update: when I went to remove the stickers on the arms, they had fused to the clear coat on the wood. They were impossible to get off without scratching the wood, which is soft. I paid 130 bucks per chair and they werent worth it.
The chair looks very nice .The direction were aweful ...but the pieces were pretty strait forward . The arm rest are low and seat is very firm so this is not something you want to sit and read in . Its not that comfortable. But its cute in the corner .
They are beautiful, really nice to look at. Perfect addition to our living room. When you sit down you think that it will be like a normal cushioned chair. NOPE! Hard as a rock. Like sitting on a dining chair.
We kept them because we like the look, but they will likely take years to break in.
While I do like the overall look, sturdiness and comfort, I think the manufacturer doesnt uphold strong production standards or review before they ship. First of all, the instructions came printed out of order, and I mean front and back double sided pages were not collated correctly.... for both chairs I bought. The assembly descriptions were not great either, there were some pieces not addressed or pictures that didnt mean anything to the actual product from what I can tell. Secondly, the wood only had lacquer on the sides that are visible; in which, might not be a huge deal normally but if you have your hands on the arm rest, what will naturally happen? Your fingers will curl around the armrest and touch the underside, and here it turns out to be rough and unfinished. Not a great feeling. Also, there are spots on the visible surfaces where the lacquer wasnt applied well or didnt dry quite right and it is also rough in these spots. Thirdly, the wooden pegs that are used to cover up where the screws are used either dont quite fit or fall out easily. Lastly, the wooden dowels that are used to hold the front bottom cross beam to the legs of the chair are way too small for the holes so they dont offer much security.
Overall, if I was using this for a spare room in my house I wouldnt mind, but I got these for my business and I am not sure if I will keep them at this point.
Extremely firm plush elements. Im a tall grown man, and the seat barely depresses when I sit in it. Its not uncomfortable, per se, but I would not call it comfy. The assembly kit was missing the flat washers, which are a minor component and ultimately not requisite to put the thing together, but still.
I am curious how you are supposed to assemble the chair without the hardware needed.
Most of the pieces were there, missing were the two bran nuts. Essential for assembly. The chair cannot be used without them. And trying to contact the company is impossible. The sight is blocked or doesnt work altogether and there is no phone number to call.
All in all, easily replaced with a trip to the hardware store. I was hoping to avoid taking that trip. Disappointing, sure, but the chair is very sturdy and comfortable, at least.
Im on the fence, because I purchased 2 chairs and one came without the hardware but my BIL matched the screws from the 2nd and was able to assemble both chairs. They are sturdy and comfortable, however both wood frames have dings and the only option I was given was to have them disassembled and pack them back up and return them. I am willing to keep them because they are the only furniture in my living room, but the dings for take away from the niceness of the furniture. My BIL was able to put them together rather quickly but hes not here to take them apart.
Overall, the chair would be a really nice buy. But ours came with a split all the way thru one of the arm supports. Since a return on an item like this is not too convenient we decided to keep and try to repair it. Took the L. Its comfortable and looks great besides the giant split in it. Hopefully the inspection on other items from the seller are more closely inspected before they put it in a box to ship.
Love this couch so much. Very sturdy and clearly good quality. Many complements on it already. Delivery was on time and all the pieces were there. Easy assembly.

Good but could easily be better

Nice chairs, sturdy and comfy but received in bad condition

UNFORTUNATE!
