We have this in our dining room. Very nice piece of furniture. Holds numerous bottles of wine and looks good in the process.
Assembly was easy, very sturdy/well built, and the storage area is a nice touch for glasses.
We have about 20 something bottles of alcohol on top, drink mixer kit, numerous wine bottles in the holders, wine and whiskey glasses, and some decor.
Very nice table/bar.
Overall, this is a great piece. Especially once I added my own tweaks. I changed out the legs and handles using birch logs.
My only complaints are, as others mentioned, the doors are a bear to wrestle into place. As you can see by the image, there is a bit more wrestling to be done. But this kind of thing is not uncommon for build/it/yourself stuff so Im not digging it a star for that. My real complaint is the coverage of the screw heads. The stickers provided are practically translucent and the black screw head is plainly visible. Additionally, the overlapping portion just looks gray and dirty. I will eventually figure out a way to cover this up and keep the overall esthetic clean but it bugs me evry time I look over at the piece. And I work from home and it sits right in my line of sight. Sigh.
As for its purpose and overall look in my home? I couldnt be happier with it. It is a beautiful piece. I love the finish and lines. It is marred only by the ugly stickers.
I would still recommend this just be aware of what the pitfalls are.
This cabinet is sturdy and so beautiful. I would recommend this to cabinet to anyone who ask! It holds more than 16 bottles of wine because some of them can stock on top of each other. Fits beautifully In our living room
2 things I want to highlight in this review.
1) If youre used to 1 page of undecipherable instructions with no text you will be pleasantly surprised here. The installation guide was 20+ pages with 1/2 steps per page. They not only tell you what to do, they anticipate what you might do wrong and tell you not to do that. All the small parts came in a tidy plastic strip with each part in a separate compartment with a part letter printed on it. I assembled this by myself with no issues.
2) Customer service. There was one part of a wine rack missing. I contacted customer support and they FedExd replacement part to me. When it turned out that due to my error the shipment was undeliverable, they were happy to send it out again. Fortunately that wasnt needed.
Now for the unit itself. We were looking for a bar, for booze and various accoutrement, but its default configuration is really more of a wine bar. Of the 6 shelves, 4 are designed to hold wine bottles, but you can use the shelves however you want, use of the wine holders are optional.
I think the least useful part is probably the wine glass holders in the cabinet. If you want to store wine glasses you really cant use the top shelf for anything else, and they dont hold that many wine glasses.
Overall, pretty versatile, pretty cheap, low profile wine bar.
