This is a cute and sturdy bed but the wood screws that are provided are crap. The first 3 out of 4 we tried to assemble stripped after the screw was only half way in. At that point we went to Home Depot and spent about 25 on better screws. Plus then we could use a drill to assemble and it went much faster than an Allen wrench.

Single mom and put this together by myself. The wall was more supportive than my ex ever was.
I used a drill on low setting.
Some side rail spots got a little tricky doing on my own, but I figured it out. Just didnt tighten bolts until I had things popped into place one side at time.
Threw some Christmas lights underneath, and Ill be Surprising my almost 4 year old. Hope he likes
I really did my homework before concluding this bed would be the best buy on a budget. Other reviews about their experiences with the manufacturer were a major selling point for me, yet I have received NO response to my inquiry about the pictured findings when the product arrived!! I did not demand a refund or anything Karen either, I simply asked how to go about replacing 2 boards, stating I was pretty sure I could still use everything else without issue. I reached out via email as directed on included instructions 3 days agoand still here I sit with a broken/hearted 4 year old who was SO looking forward to his new Big Boy Bed I realize its a pipe dream to have decent furniture flawlessly delivered, but at least respond!!! Disappointed, raise your budget 100 and go with another company.
The bed is ok, Its relatively sturdy, my son likes it. Three main downfalls to be aware of / 1) there are deep scratches and chip offs that were painted over, makes it look lake an after market repaired bed; 2) paint smell is still very strong even though the bed has been in use for 2 months now; 3) railings are low, be mindful that most of good quality mattresses are thicker than 8in and makes it dangerous for a kid.

We had to lean all of our weight together when installing screws(it required a power drill). That being said it is sturdy. The wood is easily scratched and dented but we love the bed for the price.

Cute but missing parts ladder broke easily
The ladder split when trying to connect it to the bed frame. It was also missing two of the wood corks which we had to go out and purchase.

Perfect. Exactly as described. No sqeaking. Easy to put together with the included mallet.
