Finished product is sturdy and at first blush could pass for real oak. Delivered package is quite heavy so I suggest you open it at the first available place and then transport each piece individually to whatever staging area you have chosen you will need a fairly large area for the assembly process but when done it can easily be moved by two people to its final placement.
The instructions are clearer than most but there are a lot of small pieces to contend with. If you have dyslexic tendencies or have trouble reading maps stop right now and find or hire someone to do it for you. Also, the instructions warn you not to use power tools but the truth is that although standard size drivers (12 volt and bigger) will probably do more damage than good, I strongly suggest you use a small driver (3 or 4 volt) such as pictured below if you dont have one go buy one (typically between 25 and 35) before assembling this unit trust me on this and you will find such a tool invaluable around the house anyway.
I do guarantee that when you are finished assembling this you will definitely have a sense of accomplishment. In my case, I now have a perfectly good excuse to buy a bigger TV and maybe some furniture for the new addition to the house.
