Sturdy for light items. The box arrived on my door step with apologies from UPS for the statez it was in. It was completely open. The pieces were jumbled and marred as a result of the box being insufficient taped. Thankfully no pieces were missing.
I would have requested a return if I didnt need to have beds the next day.
The slats that support the mattress are not smooth and snag the bedding (fitted sheets, blanket, comforter wrapped under mattress).
The wood is soft and dents easily.
Its not as rigid a frame as I would like.
It does the job and looks decent, but quality furniture it is not.
I would rather have spent additional money on a better quality bunk bed set.
