There are not that many steps to assemble the couch, but they each take some time. You will be an Allen wrench expert by the time you are done / its good to use the both short and long ends to get the job done, and use your fingers as much as possible in threading the bolts in. Most of all, you just have to take your time in getting the parts put together, but it worked out fine for me. All bolt holes lined up well. A couple of the bolts offered some resistance, but nothing that couldnt be overcome. Id highly recommend having a good pair of pliers nearby as I did lots of turns using those in the tight spaces. I also took heed of the recent comment about some sharp edges on the legs / its not like theyve been polished off so its a good one to be aware of. For me, perfect product, comfort is fine, height okie to me. Color grey maybe a tad darker than I expected from the pictures, but not a dealbreaker. For the price, this is a great product, and the value far surpasses what I see in brick and mortar stores Assembled Quickly.
