The color and look is just as it is pictured. It is a firm seat bottom, but will function well for a guest to sit comfortably rather then having to always sit on the bed or bench. We did have a little trouble lining up the glides for the back, but be patient and try to line them up first, then slowly push down. We put the legs on last, but directions (pictures only) show the legs on before placing the back. It is sturdy, and the fabric is pretty good for the overall price. We have no dislikes
