Very compact. For the price point, I would say that this is a great couch to by. I assembled it all alone with no help. The only issue that I had was one of my back rest pillows came busted, but I reached out directly to the company who sold and shipped the couch to me and they mailed me another one. I prefer my couches be a little firm, and this one is firm like I like. The only thing that I dislike is that some of the pillows have velcro and some of them dont, which makes no sense to me. My leg rest pillow on the chase slides, so I am going to have to put some velcro on it myself.
