All in all this bed frame exceeded expectations. Very solid and easy to assemble. Similar instructions to something from , but much clearer and simpler. once assembled, so wobbles or squeaks. Feels like one piece. The headboard is a little smaller than I had expected, but it still looks good. Wood is finished very well. Only metal is the center support -- not visible once the mattress is in place. Glad I did not opt for the upgraded version. This is very solid and has more room for sliding underneath because the side and end boards are not as wide. Was afraid it might look a little cheap because of the narrower boards, but not at all. Looks great. Very happy with the purchase.
