Very compact. My daughter loves it! She loves the house it creates and plays in it all the time. We are still working on her comfort level with the slide though it is very fast. She loves to go down it, but only if mommy or daddy is holding her hand. I wish the ladder had wider rungs and 3 evenly spaced instead of just the two would be nice, it is hard for my daughter to get up as she is still a little to short to make it from the last rung to the bed on her own. As the one who has to make the bed, it is a little difficult but well worth it, my daughter really does love her new big girl bed!
