This is not your normal flat pack particle board furniture, its a much higher quality. Its all real solid wood, not sure what species but heavier than poplar. The hardware is good quality and assembly was very easy. Assembly took me maybe 45 minutes and I was in no rush. If you follow the instructions and wait to tighten the bolts until you have all the bolts in and everything lined up you wont have alignment issues like some have reported. My gaps and joints all lined up great after I pushed the right side back and pulled the left side forward. Just take your time and read the instructions.
