The carry on size is not expandable. If you are going somewhere cold where you have to take bulky items this is not the suitcase you want. It is tiny! I went on a two day trip and still didn’t have enough space for a few sweaters or anything really. I am not sure what trip this suitcase is for. I guess if you’re just taking swimsuits it would work...
