It took me a long time to decide on a replacement for my DX Racer chair that was feeling its age. That chair was almost 600 so I was nervous buying a much cheaper chair. I got a solid 8 years out of my DX and it is still going strong, just starting to peel a bit.
I finally decided to give this one a shot after a lot of research and review reading. It is great.
Pros:
/ Im 210 lbs and it feels completely sturdy under my weight
/ Very quick and easy to assemble
/ As a software engineer, and gamer, I spend a lot of time in it. It stays comfortable the whole time. Even on those 12 hour days.
/ Head/neck pillow is really comfortable
/ Supports many positions so its easy to lean back, rock back, stay upright, whatever you like. Very easy to adjust, although I tend to like a certain position, so I tend to set it and forget it on chairs.
/ Price, way way cheaper than my dx racer and just as comfortable (if not more so).
Cons:
/ Air rests turn way too easily. You barely touch them and they turn. So you are constantly fixing your arm rest. The big part here is when you go to stand up most people will push back from the desk and put their hands on the rests as they stand. If you barely touch them they will move in or out depending on direction of the touch. Its annoying at most, really doesnt cause too many issues. A lock or more pressure required would be much nicer though.
/ Lumbar pillow felt funny to me. But this may not actually be a con as I dont really like lumbar pillows in general. I took it off pretty much immediately and never touched it again. It was a comfortable material I just dont like lumbar pressure when sitting.
I dont know about the longevity of this chair but so far after 5 months or so it is holding up great. No peeling of material, head pillow looks brand new still. Holding up really well.
Really like this chair
