I wanted something that looked similar to a good RH frame, but didnt want to pay $3k for it. This was a pretty good pickup, with only minor gripes.
Pros:
1. Looks great, color is beautiful
2. Cubby holes are a great feature! They also come pre-assembled, saving a heap of time
3. Unique platform look
4. Slats were held together by stapled fabric, very easy to throw the whole string of them on
Cons:
1. Headboard could be thicker. Seems slightly wobbly and isnt very thick/sturdy. I worry putting too much weight on the headboard could hurt the wood.
2. Doesnt appear to be very flush. I had to physically lift the entire frame to get some screws to go in. Much cursing and sweating during assembly is required
3. For 2, Im worried eventually the frame will tear itself apart over time if its not flush
4. Assembly was absolutely horrible. The steps are clear, but getting the washers and screws in for the odd angles is a nightmare
Some extra cons that werent related to the product:
1. I asked the seller upfront if I needed extra tools and the seller said no. Great joke, I needed a Phillips and an Allen wrench (wrench should be included but wasnt..)
2. Box came completely tore up with packing material falling out
3. Big chunk of wood missing from one of the insides of the beams. Its on the inside so I dont care, but thats pretty lame, it shouldve been obvious it was defective.
Overall at the price it was an okay buy. I saw it on sale elsewhere on the Internet for $800 (after I bought it of course!) and that felt like a better price point for the cons given. Im happy regardless, just not looking forward to next time I have to move it, and the quality downsides werent great.
Good quality, similar to Restoration Hardware
